Mat8ix
yep perfectly happy here.. If you're personally affected by Rockstar not giving you the info you want, maybe you need to check your priorities, ya know? why is it okay for gamers to act like spoiled children all the time. spoiled children? rockstar have acted like the spoiled child not the fans, you only have to look at AC3 newsfeed no demanding like rockstar posts ubisoft have gave plenty of info, trailers, game play, everyone is just patiently waiting with a smile anyone who says there not let down when a unrelated GTAV post pops up is chatting sh*te in my view you don't get it. Your point is exactly what I'm talking about with 'spoiled children'. Here is some news for you. Rockstar doesn't make games for you so called hardcore gaming types (more like whining pussies, if you ask me) who get mad when their wants are not catered to at every turn, and that's PRECISELY why they've gotten so succesful and PRECISELY why I (and many, many others) will always like GTA (or anything r* produces) over any other game. Hate to break your bubble, but that is the audience rockstar EXPRESSLY aims for, not the WoW/LoTR/Sci-Fi geek-crowd, with their games, their advertising, everything. So really, they don't give a sh*t about some whiny geeks not buying a game cause they have an overblown sense of entitlement when it comes to their games. Im sure they do care about that whiny geek crowd, especially after that last ''incident'' where Diablo 3 did more then 3 times the numbers of Max Payne 3 ( PC EXCLUSIVE vs multiplatfrom anybody?) And im sorry to burst your bubble but last time i checked these ''geeks/whiners/kiddies'' pumped more money into this industry then ANYBODY else so its only natural that a big company (that always look for opportunities to expand) like R'' will always keep an eye on us. Kifflom112
me personally im a bit annoyed at rockstars silence over this game as much as i do want it to be a surprise and not no every bit of information i would like to hear a bit more. has the silence affected your view of future games or current games like max payne i personally did not buy max payne basically because of the ignorance shown by rockstar over GTAV, could rockstars ignorance caused max payne to not sell as well? what are your views? I agree. I tried to express that, but someone went ape sh*t when I said it, name shall not be revealed.

i am a girl on the internet
Of course it has affected me; I'm on here speculating about possible features that might be implemented in the game, simply because R*'s silence has left me with very little "concrete" information. Anyone who comes here to discuss personal ideas/features that may or may not be used in GTA:V is being affected by R*'s silence. Bottom line: If you're here speculating about GTA:V, R*'s silence has affected you. Anyone who has done so, and claims that they haven't been affected by the information drought, is flat-out lying. That's where Ubisoft is making the fatal flaw. They're releasing too much info. When you go to play AC3, you already know what to expect. With GTA V. No-one will know what the game will be like. This element of surprise makes GTA V appear more entising than AC3! 'Nuff Said! Most definitely, the more I see of ACIII the less interested I get. Not because it looks crap but because it is taking away the surprise of discovering things for myself. People say it's different with games, because they're an interactive medium & most of the enjoyment comes from playing the thing. Maybe that's true but all I know is, I got a lot more enjoyment from playing a new game back before the internet existed. When it's a game you know is going to be amazing 'like GTA V', how is showing you stuff from said game before release, going to increase your enjoyment of it? Phem
Some more news on the subject of GTA V would be nice, It does not have to be screen shots or a video, maybe just a few words on the multi-player or some thing. As for the comments about fanboy's sure they suck arse, but so do the people that are on the other end of the spectrum fanatical behaviour, Both sides are bad. I really dislike terms "entitled" or "privileged". People are entitled to a decent game that meets most if not all their expectation's. Those same people put there idea's forward in a hope that they will be heard and improve upon the game to make it even more enjoyable for every one. It is not entitlement, it is not privilege, it is opinion and hope nothing more. As for telling people to get lives or go out side, Teach your self to treat other's with respect even if they do not deserve it, It is because of attitudes like that that ruin our real societies, not the opinionated rantings of a man-child on the internet. In closing, I just want to say I think guild wars 2 is the worst MMOrpg I have ever played. And I hope I am entitled to a decent game this year or next when GTA V is released. BTW GW2 is sh*t. The problem is most developers reveal too much about theit games these days IMO and it makes people demand more and more. Then it's these people who have the nerve to whine when they finally get the game that they already know too much. R* being labelled "disrespectful" is an elementary level of critque or simply it's childish. Other developers choose to saturate their fans and R* adopt a more discrete kind of approach. Whatever works I say.
Durden
No, I'm very happy. Idk if this is sarcasm or not, but this is how I feel, actually. A small part of me wants a sh*tload of info about the game, while a bigger part of me doesn't want to hear anything else until I'm playing it. I guess its similar to if you like a girl, and your friend offers to talk to her for you because you're too shy. You immediately don't want to, but deep inside you do want him to confront her for you because otherwise you'll live the rest of your life wondering what could've happened... The feeling is pretty much the same with my desire of GTAV info. Although I do have phases where I get really upset about no info, but usually I keep my cool. Like right now, I'm distracted by Borderlands 2 and on their forum, so I don't feel impatient for GTAV. With this year's lineup of games, I should have GTAV in no time

AtomicPunk
@Zmouse: You never get too old for games or grow up and quit playing them. Once a gamer, always a gamer. I'm 40 and come here to check info or whatever like I have since day 1 and will probably continue to do so for the next GTA. OT: In all truth, the only thing that annoys me is that R* hasn't given out a release date after all this time. I could care less about screens and trailers if I knew when the hell it was coming out. I wanna discover all this stuff for myself, really. However, an interactive map, like R* did with San An, would be cool. Lets stop playing games, give us the release date. I know R* has an idea or date that they're shooting for. Edited September 14, 2012 by AtomicPunk
CookPassBabtridge
The silence, coupled with the fact that my general gaming days have been and gone, means Im more willing to sit back and see what the reality of V will be. E.g. Is it IV.5 or less, or is it a groundbreaker etc. Ill wait for a price drop if it turns out this weird 8 month drought was some display of complacency. As for the forum, it brought things like the Genesis thread, the 2012/13 debate, and other sh*t less fun than actually discussing real info. Smith John
@Miamivicecity Simply getting another trailer and release date is not what I'd constitute being "saturated" with info. Look at the marketing of San Andreas. We got tons of info, screens and 3 trailers. Did that spoil the game for you? It sure as sh*t didn't for me. I'm pretty pissed with the silence tbh. Up untill around May/June I was fine with it, and would be on R*'s defence, but this really is taking the piss. I can't believe how many people started sucking their cocks just because they released a few screens. Releasing a few screens was the very LEAST they could do. Call me "whiney" and "spoiled" and "blah blah blah". It's nothing new nor original. I just wish R* would get the f*ck off their high horse and start treating the fans who gave them their success with the respect they deserve.
