Mamunda
I would love to be able to enter inside of a plane, terrorize the passengers and pilots and hijack the plane Hhmm... In game I mean
Adriaan
I'm gonna take a wild guess and say the terrorize element won't be in the game.
Durden
There would be so much fun to be had with these 2 beasts if they made it into a GTA! With Jumbo Jets you could role play endlessly, going on plane rides with lots of other players, base-jumping, etc... They would be super fun to crash, go on rampages/dogfights with, and maybe there would even be a sidemission where you fly airport to airport, picking up passengers and dropping them off places. Playing gang wars online, and the whole enemy base is locked down? Just nosedive one of these bad boys into their base (bail out beforehand of course), and create havoc! There's plenty of fun stuff to do with Jumbo Jets... Now Giant Cargo Ships might not have as much purpose as a Jumbo Jet, but you can also role play with it with other players like your going on a cruise. Alternatively, you can play free mode and get a bunch of players on-board and have a massive, on-the-move police shotoout! Maybe even in a turf war gamemode, the boat can be the (moving) turf and other players have to infiltrate it somehow (boat, heli, jet) to capture the turf. The boat would also be great in Team Deathmatch; just get your entire team on the boat and blast the enemies with Snipers, RPGs, etc... Keep in mind though, all of these activities would require a driver for the boat. Kinda a boring job...
PureGold
I'm gonna take a wild guess and say the terrorize element won't be in the game. It has been in GTA for years. You point your gun at someone and they panic and run away.
Adriaan
@PureGold I was talking about the posts above which talked about terrorizing passengers on planes.
PureGold
@PureGoldI was talking about the posts above which talked about terrorizing passengers on planes. Me too, maybe we interpreted 'terrorize' differently. I thought he meant that if they include interiors to planes he will scare everyone and hi-jack the plane. rare.steak
It could technically, but I'd rather save the disk space for something cooler... This is a cool idea for that space already, unless you can suggest an idea that you can see fit in better.
DeafMetal
Sorry, had to lol On topic: no one can say for sure. This kind of thing is VERY general. Is it possible? Absolutely. Will it be possible with the specifications on the engine/mechanics that Rockstar will have for GTA V? Plausibly, but no one but them knows. It's all down to the engine, controlling/camera mechanics, and rendering quality. For example, The textures could switch to low-poly when the player is driving. universetwisters
I wouldn't mind manning the wheel of a container ship with this playing over the radio
TreyCrll
It could technically, but I'd rather save the disk space for something cooler... This is a cool idea for that space already, unless you can suggest an idea that you can see fit in better. How about more building interiors to hide out and have gun fights in? Or a Jumbo jet with auto pilot so you could walk around in that instead? Or even more weapons with attachments? Or more missions/side missions? Just some things that I personally would rather have. I didn't say it wasn't a cool idea BTW...I just don't like the barge idea very much. The Jumbo jet's pretty cool though. Chukkles
GTA San Andreas has full-size airliners that you could fly so I don't see why GTA V couldn't handle it... "In SA we had AT-400 which was kinda big." There was full sized planes in San Andreas, but none were actually nearly as big as normal commercial airline planes or jumbo jets. The AT-400 was a damn big airliner, something similar to a 747. That was in the hangar at venturas airport.
mvega0422
I'd love to have these but only if you can have passengers freely walking and shooting on them, and vehicles/bikes fully functional on them. Multiplayer would be badass.
t3h PeNgU1N oF d00m
I imagine consoles could handle it. The problem would be getting it to sync up in multiplayer and having the game determine if people are standing on it or if they are being hit by it. Signal1
In GTA 4 we had the tugboat which was kinda big. In SA we had AT-400 which was kinda big. These things are nice, but do you think a PS3 or XBOX could process something as big as a cargo ship or a jumbo jet being drivable ingame? Would we be able to drive one of these bad boys: Or maybe role-play or cause chaos in one of these: Any computer wiz on here know if the average consoles could actual process the concept of these huge machines being maneuverable in a game like Grand Theft Auto? Would you guys even want these things in GTA 5. I'm sure they'd use an extremem amount of processing and storage. Your opinions or suggestions? Sure, Uncharted 3 did it and it was spectacular. Not sure if the Xbox could handle it though. Thats the problem with having one system slightly lower in performance is that the PS3 version will no doubt have to suffer.
