When I play GTA, it doesn't make me want to go out and kill/rob people. When I play Manhunt, it doesn't make me go out and kill people with plastic bags/what ever method you choose. Xboxless Posted September 13, 2012 Share Posted September 13, 2012 (edited) The kind of people that could be made to do violent things because of a video game are the kind of people who are already on the edge sanity anyways. I do however understand the idea that it could lead to loss of sensitivity to violent happenings. However, I don't think games will ever make someone not care if someone is chain-sawed in half ala Gears Of War. I'm sure anybody that has played gears of war upon seeing that would have a mental breakdown just like anybody else. Most people know it's just a video game and they can separate reality from non-reality. That about sums up what most people are going to say. I would also recommend going to Debates & Discussion because they already have a topic about this. You could just browse through that topic and that will be your survey. Either that or their parents didn't do a good job raising their kids. Personally, if I'm feeling pissed off about something, I go play GTA to let off some steam. Not the other way around.
