B Dawg
Blowing up a car with a carbine rifle just isnt as satisfying as disintigrating it with 1 second of minigun fire. Everything blowing up instantly was stupid in the past GTA games. Lowering the damage in the weapon.dat gave me a better on foot and Hunter experience. The minigun in V should have low damage but a very high rate of fire. AND YES WE NEED CHAINSAWS!
YoungChrist
swords and katanas seem kind of silly. But flamethrowers and chainsaws would be crazy.

Patrizio
To reiterate - these weapons MUST return. The Flamethrower has been in EVERY GTA apart from IV - it is a staple of GTA and should never have been removed. Yes to all.

Racecarlock
To anybody who says katanas are unrealistic. They exist in real life don't they? So, logic dictates that there is at least one or two criminals out there that know how to get them. Logic also dictates that there must be (there MUST be) people who can acquire and sell them. Any weapon that's possible to buy should be on the table. It doesn't have to be a f*ckin' hattori hanzo, it just has to be a sword.

Theres certainly a number of incidents over the years of people being murdered by katanas too - even in the town I'm from in Northern England. Patrizio
Staples of the III era and before. Must return. In addition to throwing knives from RDR. With the gore at an acceptable level from RDR, I think they're now doable.

DarkStarfire
I only want the chainsaw if it's as OP as the one in Vice City. I hated how they nerfed it in San Andreas. The rest? Hell yeah.

Cutter De Blanc
There are very clearly 8 unreleased DLC weapon slots at Ammunation. I suspect the Flamethrower, Chainsaw and Katana will be among them.
Grand Theft Savage
Chainsaws would be pretty difficult to use this time around, but I would like swords to return. Flamethrowers in Single Player would be great. Online, that sh*t would be overpowered.
Istoned
QUOTE (John The Grudge @ Thursday, Sep 13 2012, 12:30) Leave the chainsaws out. The thought of doing that to somebody gives me the chills. I want to hear what other fans who started to play the games before GTAIV also think of this. Because the games are now more realistic in its art, and not lower quality stylized art, things feel different when you, for instance, just run someone over. Think of how South Park would have felt if they had gone for realistic art. They get to do all these crazy things, but you don't feel sick about it because the art is so stylized and unrealistic. Do some of you also feel that this is a drawback with having more realistic art in GTA/games? It's only natural that they moved this way, but if you think about how you played GTA3/Vice/San Andreas vs GTAIV do you guys also sometimes try to avoid running people over etc.? Or like with the chainsaw example. It will just feel different. I realize it's all a game but there's a different feeling. When I saw the GTAV screenshot of a guy flying a fighter jet in a suit.... I remember thinking how unorthodox and weird it looks because it's not the kind of thing you ever see. Then I realized, but wait a minute, I've seen this before with CJ in San Andreas. I guess the fact that it looks so much more realistic made me look at it in a weird way. But yeah, I dunno, maybe it's an age thing also. The idea of blasting a flame thrower, hearing the screams of people as they burn alive also give me the chills. I never felt this way with the older GTA games, but somehow I do a bit more in the newer games... I guess, if these weapons are added, in true GTA fashion, it'll come down to giving the player a choice of how they want to play. You don't necessarily have to go and kill someone with a chainsaw or a flame thrower... it's all up to you. Kind of like how in some games you get to go in stealth mode, sneak up on someone, and knock him out out vs. actually killing him. I know what you mean. My close to favorote thing in SA was molotive cocktails, but the first time I throw some at someone in IV it made me cringe how realistic it was, you could see flames on his body him actually rolling and screaming. I didn't use molotives much after that.
018361
Yes, I want the swords and saws to cut the AI into pieces and I would like the flamethrower to look and act like one in real life. where it is igniting a flammable liquid that is being dispensed that sticks to stuff instead of just emitting flames alone and having no real impact on your surroundings. I would also like to see more damage like if I stomped on a characters head I want it to crack open and cave in so I know he is dead. That is what leads me to doubt whether Johnny K is actually dead or not. Trevor had a small bit of brain on his shoe, but people have been known to live without half their brain so unless I see it literally splattered on the ground I will have doubts. And I want to hear bones break too when I hit someone with a hammer, golf club, bat, or car. I would also like to see the stinger brought back along with countermeasures for jets and cars. SkullFace616
I reeeeaaally want a wrist mounted flamethrower. Also I think it would be pretty cool to get a crossbow and a composite bow. Maybe an axe would be cool too. Ah yeah molotov cocktails would be cool. And hacking limbs etc off... but I doubt that part will happen.
Blingy
I want the Chainsaw, with all of the good old ultra violence that comes with it. If you guys are too soft to want a chainsaw because it's "too violent", you're playing a killing simulator you f*cking idiots. You can blow cars up with a minigun, and squish people with a truck.
