How long and how fast will you camp out?

I know its a little premature but I want to get you guys a little more psyched and less depressed in this phase of the games dev.

 

As I recall with the release of MW3, there was a line outside my Game Stop for over a period of 24 hours. If you didnt reserve it you werent getting it, and if you did and you were L8t a w8t that lay in front of you was massive. It stretched all the way to the line of the movie theater behind it.

 

Also what will you bring? Who will you bring?

And share a funny story from your IV camp out..

 

Heres mine :As we waited a red bull car and red bull girls gave out free LCPD shirts and of course Red Bull, and a NYPD cruiser pulled up and said over their intercom, "GO HOME AND PLAY CALL OF DUTY THIS GAME SUCKS" that was f*cking epic.

I'm going to pre-order it whenever they decide to have a release date for the f*cking thing, and then I'll probably get it that day when the store in the mall opens, like I did with LA Noire.

 

...Only this game won't suck like LA Noire.

Dude I like your logic, but uhh this game is gonna sell like crack, it might become extremely hard to get if you don't reserve it.

And if you do and dont get it at least day 1 I dunno your chances of getting it say day 3 , thats how crazy this game might be.

 

The online gig is smart though cant knock it.

Camp out for a video game? Not a chance. I'll just wait for the post to be delivered if I've made a pre order or just walk into the shop, buy it and straight out on the day of release like a boss. The only midnight release I've gone to is when I bought a PS3 at launch.

I voted 11pm. I haven't waited in line for a new GTA since San Andreas but I really want to do it this time. I doubt there will be that many people there so whats the point of coming earlier than that? there will probably be 10 people in line, including me.

I'm really sorry for my sayings, but the politicians have discussed this for a long time, without getting to an agreement

 

So, these are not my words, it is their words, tell it to them, not me.

What the politicians have discussed, is that begging is going to be banned in Norway

 

 

Anyways, there is a lot of other thiefs here, we have also an another issue here

 

And that is violence, fighting and raping

Not by romanians, but other people

What I liked about GTA IV was when it was released the store opened at 7am and there were only about 4 people. It boggles my mind how anyone could wait in line so long.

I'm ordering it online thanks to all the gaming shops in my town being closed down, maybe Tesco or Currys will get some copies in. Currys has been known to get some sneaky copies of games that don't get pre ordered and are just there for the lucky few who find them.

 

Edit : Back when Midnight Club 2 came out, I got it 2 days early because the people at Currys were sound, and sneaky.

During the release of Skyrim, so many people showed up at around 11 45 at my GameStop while I was there a bit earlier and was like 4th in line. If V is a simultaneous release I won't have to go anywhere.

Well the thing is:

 

- There isnt 1 specific day on which the game will be in the stores.

* so maybe tuesday, wednesday or thursday.

+ which means you have to camp all those 3 days in front of the store.

 

- So, what then? Pre-order it: It might come earlier, it might come later than if you buy it at a store.

* basically a gamble.

 

What to do? Anyone?
