The iPhone V

Ok Im sure you are thinking, "Another sh*tty thread" lol But give it a chance

 

So today the iPhone 5 was announced. And the popular opinion is that its pretty much the same thing as the 4/4S. There is a bigger screen, its lighter, slimmer, and has a new OS but thats about it. There really isnt anyhting awe inspiring about this device other than the hardware.

 

So that got me thinking. what if GTA V turned out like this. WHAT IF GTA V was just a bigger/prettier version of GTA IV. It isnt really a bold new direction. They dont add things like custimizing weapons, car mods, businesses, real estate, economic events, detailed side missions, awesome mini games, and so on and so forth.

 

Im not saying it will happen but WHAT IF it did.

 

 

What do you think the chances are of this happening?

Are there any features you feel must be included that werent in IV?

This is all I expect GTA V to be anyway. If I'm wrong then I'll be pleasantly surprised but if I'm right I won't be disappointed. Already from the trailer and screens GTA V is exceeding my expectations with the inclusion of dogs by the looks of things. Also the dirt bike racing and mountain bike been in is more than I could ask for. I'm confident that it'll just get better from here but my expectations are not unrealistic and I'm quite sure no matter what R* do they won't let me down as they never have yet. Now that is out of the way one with the questions.

Very slim. As I said above R* have never failed me.

 

How would you feel if this happened?

Disappointed a little but also curious as to what R* have done with the things we know about if it isn't what we assume.

 

Are there any features you feel must be included that werent in IV?

Bikes.... Mountain Bikes, BMX and so on. R* already have that in V. I also want some kind of customization to cars and the protagonist/protagonists like hair cuts, body building and so on. Just like San Andreas. I'd find it odd that R* seem to be including everything else from San Andreas and not include this. However been as there is a gym shown in the trailer it could be possible. If this isn't in the game though I'd be disappointed sure but it's not game braking.

I understand what you are saying. But features are a big part of keeping games fresh and innovation. Whether its vehicles, weapons, or friends, the features are a big part of the game and if there isnt anything new things can get stale.

 

I personally KNOW I will love this game either way. But I for one dont want GTA IV.5.

...And to be honest, a new map(it's huge too), and a new storyline with 35-50 new cars is enough for me, I'm sorry. And we have planes, fixed draw distance, and a nice house you most likely can own. This is GTA V riiiight? Common sense would tell you that things HAVE been fixed from IV, it's a new game five years newer than the last.

The fact that the countryside is back, bicyles are back is already reason enough for me to get excited as hell. But there are clear signs of weapon customization, dogs in the game and so on. That's all new for a GTA game. Then we got the shooting system which is no doubt gonna feel similar to RDR and MP3 or even better, GREAT! Same goes for the movement..movement in IV was sluggish compared to RDR and MP3..we'll have RDR/MP3 movement, great again!!! I have no idea which feature(s) is really going to be the biggest thing in GTA V, we'll have to wait and see. But i am not afraid at all.

Well, I don't expect GTA V to be that super dupper game... Obviously it's gonna be great, Rockstar always did good GTA, but I don't believe it will be so much better than the others!!!!!

I'd say that it's impossible that they will improve absolutely nothing from IV. The improvements that I will be most disappointed if not seen in V are:

 

1. improved physics allowing hanging and crawling on moving vehicles be aerial, aquatic, or terrestrial, and hauling of items or vehicles on trailers or other vehicles...

 

2. improved online module, most importantly free mode or free roam game options, features and possibilities.

 

3. with all of the weapons and aircraft there must be a better balance between their ground weapons and air power. no more infinite amo and rockets for aircraft!

Slim to none. This is Rockstar Games you're talking about! None of their games are sloppy, half-ass, polished up and prettier version of the previous game. They always innovate.

I'd probably be shocked and sh*t brix.

Customization, better side missions, and just all around more activities to do that help keep the replay value high.

To be honest the game has already exceeded my expectations in terms of the environment and graphics, let alone all of the wonderful new vehicles and other things they're shown. But if that was the case, I'd be somewhat satisfied in that we get exactly what many wanted which is an updated SA with RAGE and good graphics. I would however be worried about R* becoming lazy.

We need the game to be huge and for console. Not some watered down isometric bullcrap that looks like a kid had fun with the unity engine. (Chinatown wars).

 

Iphone 5 wont support GTA 5 at all.

we can expect laser pointer under attachments under some guns, atleast for the NPC swat teams. it is expected of a game based in LA, Hollywood hitters always make it big with tech savy snazzed up swat teams. just check out some of the screen shots, you'll see.

This is why I feel it's taking so long to release. There's been some great (and better) games since GTAIV that go beyond the basic formula of GTA and Houser/R* know this. They want to make sure GTA stays relevant and cutting edge. They're throw the kitchen sink at it and will likely do things we've never seen and it takes time.
