Yeah I used it in installer because of script file, you know it easily install fixed models and textures to ppl gta3.img

- added IMG_FASTMAN92_GTASA_ENCRYPTION_TYPE_VARIATION_2
- fixed bug with encryption, the 2.1 version would produce corrupt encrypted data

- removed a useless debugging code when opening the IMG archive version 3
- bug with saving a list of files in IMG version 1 or fixed.
- bug with setting the default encryption and compression type for IMG formats that haven't these features, fixed.
- fixed 8 TB IMG archive support.
- added setArchiveMetadataEncryption command



Look -help for commands.

fastman92_GTASA IMG format requires my limit adjuster installed and "enhanced IMG archives" enabled in .ini configuration.

Check of .dir and .img isn't read-only.

Try to run IMG console as administrator.

Nah, I just have a lot of partitions, I use the A:\ one for games. And yes, the .dir was read-only, now it's orking fine, thank you.

IMG_FASTMAN92_GTASA_ENCRYPTION_TYPE_VARIATION_2 will require a limit adjuster version 2.0, it's not released yet.

 

only IMG_FASTMAN92_GTASA_ENCRYPTION_TYPE_VARIATION_1 will work with the current version of limit adjuster.

 

Here's how to create an archive with metadata encryption and all files encrypted:

-create "gta3_encrypted.img" "fastman92_GTASA" "IMG_FASTMAN92_GTASA_ENCRYPTION_TYPE_VARIATION_1"-importFromDifferentArchive "gta3.img"-setPropertiesForAllFiles "IMG_FASTMAN92_GTASA_COMPRESSION_TYPE_NONE" "IMG_FASTMAN92_GTASA_ENCRYPTION_TYPE_VARIATION_1"-close

Handling of enhanced IMG archives must be enabled in limit adjuster.

Fastman can you tell me command to unpack all files from archive ?

   -exportAll "path\\to\\export\\"      Exports all files to specified directory.
Type -help to see all commands.

Congratulations at making the worst CLI ever. This literally looks like you made it as broken as you can. And your LONG_AS_f*ck_FASTMAN92_CONSTANTS are the last thing anyone would want to type by hand when using a commandline tool.

 

It may be working correctly from the technical side, but usage wise it's just as terrible as any other damn IMG tool in existence. What the hell?

It's intended to be used primarily with the automatically generated scripts. Some day I may learn how to create a GUI.

Yeah...this tool is very intimidating.

 

I'd like to pack my 12GB modloader folder into some img files (respecting 2GB limit of course).

 

But..Nahhh ! I'm totally demotivated by this console interface.

 

Last time I've dealed with this amount of console commands was with CP/M-86 OS. ( :lol: long...long ago).

Apparently it can't. Fed both IMG Console and imgbuilder with the same data (SA gta3.img + around 6GB of 125MB junk files) and while IMG Console created IMG causes a crash on startup, imgbuilder created IMG works fine.

 

Sizes differ too - IMG Console created IMG ended up being 6 758 637 568 bytes, imgbuilder created IMG was 7 100 450 817 bytes (I don't pad the last file, it seems pointless).

Hey. Sorry for my bad english.
How can I encrypt the IMG files so that the game can see them.
Especially in MTA?
Could not find the answers, maybe you can help me?
