GTALegacy
First, I don't want a GTA:SA remake as far as the story line goes. The city on the other hand, Hell Yeah! Bring on Los Santo, 2012! Second, R* is notorious for ripping off... Er, excuse me. "Homaging" other movies in the GTA series. Half the missions in GTA IV were from movies like "Heat", "Clear and Present Danger", "Boondock Saints", etc. So, I have a feeling what we are going to be experiencing is another hyper-reality that defines its own breed of criminals and not so much one realistic type of criminal. Since it is from five points of view, I think GTA V is going to be the "Shortcuts" (Robert Altman) of the series -- Ironic since "Shortcuts" takes place in L.A., too! So, I think we are going to see both low-level criminals slinging dope on the corner in the hood to the high life burglary criminals who hit the upscale Brentwood, and Beverly Hills areas. My best guess is these are the movies GTA V will pay "homage" to this time around given the setting: -To Live and Die in L.A. -Training Day -Beverly Hills Cop II <-- Specifically the 2nd one; more action and high-profile bad guys -The Rookie -True Romance -Reservoir Dogs (still prefer the original City on Fire!) -Pulp Fiction -Lethal Weapon -Swordfish -Mulholland Drive -The Taking of Beverly Hills -Gone in 60 Seconds -Fast & The Furious -Point Break -Con Air Some of these movies have been underlying influences, but I think we will see out-right takes on their stories and missions given the multiple POVs that we are supposedly going to be playing through... CSM. HB J-DOGG
Get the word ni**er out, and replace it with 'wannabe' or something. I Dont get they would both shoot each other. A suit does not make you smarter nor more organized. Only idiots who watch t.v think that suits make you more organized. You can right now get the badess mafia guys right now and walk them through chicago right now in there suits and they would still get there ass handed too them. We never said it was because they wore suits that they were more organized and smarter. It's just that wearing suits is much better than having drop downs and wearing really boring ghetto clothing. rdfdsv
I've read some pages and even though im an unknown, new member here, I think I have the right to say boy that escalated quickly. I don't think this topic should even be a theme of discussion because in all GTA games first off you start by fighting weaker gangs until you move to bigger fish. SA was no less than that, one day you were fighting ballas at LS, the other you were chasing off da-nang mobs and killing government agents and mafia in the desert. 50's "gangsters" and 90's "gangstas, thugs" don't even belong on the same category, both are bad in their ways and I don't favor none.
