herounderfireza
Right here all of them. http://www.wildlifecrossing.net/california/taxa List of California animals. LOL Indeed that's a good list. why do people only think of big furry animals or sharks and whatnot. How about some insects or reptilians? Even adding fking butterflies makes some difference to the game. If you look at the trailer, the scene where the homeless people are under the bridge (?) you'll see some sort of butterflies, maybe flies, flying around the trash and stuff. @thestoneman420 yeah make fun of me

Gtaplayaminigun
I actually never wanted animals in game. But it looks like they'll be in game. I seriously hope that they wouldn't be a pain in the ass everytime we step into the forest area. I'd hate having to kill any animal in game other than humans. The animals add a lot of wilderness and immersion to the countryside though.
golf wang
Stray dogs, cats, foxes, birds, racoons, rats, coyotes, and wolves for Los Santos on the Vinewood Hills. For the countryside there should be deer, moose, ducks, vultures, eagles, and there should be farms housing horses, chickens, cattle, and sheep. The bodies of freshwater should have fish like salmon, mackerel, trout, etc. The ocean should have exotic and possibly dangerous marine life such as sharks, eels, octopus, whales, dolphins, stingrays, jellyfish, etc. Having the ability to fish and hunt would be preferred. But its a game, you're not really killing any animal, just like you're not really killing hordes of police and pedestrians. I get bamboozled about this topic. Kids I understand, because there isn't a need for them...but animals in the countryside is a must. Especially after RDR, it would just colossally stupid to not do it. I love animals too and would never harm an innocent creature. But, and here's the kicker, it's a game. Hell, you don't have to kill animals, just assume the fetal position and get mauled. It scares me that you can't make the distinction between real life and a virtual reality.

Dick Justice
Given that we saw a dog in the trailer, I'd be pretty surprised if we didn't see animals in the wilderness. I don't think bears and cougars would fit in this game very well, like they fit in RDR, and animal attacks just don't fit the vibe I'm getting from the screens of the countryside. Southern California has Cougars, Mountain Lions and Bobcats, two of which were animals that attacked you in RDR, I just don't think they'll include it in V. However, I'd like to encounter smaller animals such as foxes, raccoons, rabbits, etc, if only to make the environment feel more alive. In terms of animals you can find within the Los Santos city limits, I can only really think of different breeds of dogs, maybe cats.

Benny26
R* handled animals great in RDR....Although Ninjacougars were annoying Having animals in GTAV considering it has countryside is a must for me. I can certainy see water creatures being in there to some degree; If they have underwater I'd love sharks provided there was a weapon in game you could defend yourself with (Harpoon or whatever). xarichiex
COD has dogs, RDR has dogs and wolves... Hopefully they bring this element to V... Yes, but you kill them in CoD and that's it, nothing else. RDR indeed had dogs and wolves, wolves being the ones that really attacked you. But that was RDR, a much more 'uknown' game and much less popular than GTA. PETA would love to get on Rockstar's ass and they WOULD if Rockstar goes 'too far' with keeping things realistic. They know very well that it will get in the media and get blown out of proportion in no time, PETA knows that. Thing is...at the end of the day, that means even more sales for Rockstar though, lol. I'd actually be very surprised if Rockstar puts things like Dog fights in them, not that you can participate, but maybe that you see scenes of it, or NPC letting their dog participate in those acts. In real life they are beyond horrible and i could never ever support it, but this is just a game, ...but it's possible that they put this in, making the game so much more realistic. But personally...i don't believe that's going to happen. In either way, even if it's only gonna be dogs in this game, it's gonna make for an awesome experience. Its going to make that game world so much more believeable and just great. It would also be a first for games in this genre that are set in modern times. Saints Row didn't go there, Sleeping Dogs didn't go there (only chicken fights, which surprised me tbh) so this would be new. I would support it and im also for animal cruety to the crueliest and f*ck PETA

JugularXJ220
Dumb donkey mountain lions are cougars and cougars are pumas therefore mountain lions are pumas Thanks. That irritated me more than it should have as well. Sea lions occasionally at the coast would be cool. The water-front has always been a bit dead in GTA games. Was it GTA III that had a big blocky un-animated shark dragging through the water?
