Best survival horror game series

Resident Evil 1-3 was great. Silent Hill 1-2 good. Dead Space good. They destroyed all these games with their sequels. Dead Space 3 looks awful, just action and action Resident Evil got my vote even though I hate RE5 and 6 will be crap aswell, just know it.

All gameplay I have seen is action, action and action. It's so sad when they destroy the franchises that has potential. A horror game can't focus this much on action and be scary at the same time.

Did you even watch the trailer? Anyway,we only saw the Beginning of Act 2,there wasn't even that much action.Regenerating Necromorph/Hunter/Ubermorph is back. A new addition is being able to make your own weapon.Co-op was added because EA said that most people were too scared to play it alone and prefered to play it with a friend.They only showed lots of action to bring people from other franchises.Deep down,it is still the dead space we know and love.

Nothing beats Silent Hill 1-4. The latest games are ok.

I voted Resident Evil as I've played pretty much all of them, including their arcade stand-up versions, and I can pretty much say they're it's a great franchise with an amazing genre to go on. Close runner-ups are definitely Silent Hill and Dino Crisis. I've played a lot of them too, especially when the PlayStation first erupted.
