gta player13
Yes,I am a noob,no,I haven't completed Vice City because I haven't played it since I was 10.And Yes I know this is a dumb question. I recently read that Avery Carrington's missions, which got me stuck, are necessary for 100% but NOT necessary to progress in the game. I am thinking to play Vice City again now that I have watched Scarface (I have the game somewhere) and I was wondering if I could complete it without Avery's mission. EDIT:Actually I was only stuck on demolition man and its damn RC.
Miro
I'm not sure at all, but take a look at Vice City's Mission Tree. In any case, if you have trouble passing a mission, you could request it to be passed any time in the Vice City Save N' Play topic, by uploading your save here. Th3MaN1
You don't need to complete Avery's missions. They are "side-story" missions, so other than 100% completion and money, it's not important. Also, there is a topic in this forum where you can post you save and tell what mission you need to complete, and someone will do it for you. Hope I helped. Also, why rush beating such a wonderful game?
Nukey Shay
Speedrun - to see how quickly you can do it. Those other things can be done after the storyline if you want to go for 100% or whatever. AFAIK, nothing gets "locked out" as some missions can in III. What i will mention is pointless - Why would he do a speedrun? He said he's never completed this game so I don't think that's his goal.
Spuds725
Just to add-- Cortez' final mission "all hands on deck" is also not required to complete the story--- for those on speed runs. It is worth it to mention that Avery missions are necessary to unlock the Umberto and Auntie missions (but as mentioned previously are not necessary for story completion)... For story speed run... Skip Avery, Skip Cortez final mission, Skip Malibu missions, Skip Film Studio missions, skip phone missions, Skip lovefist and Mitch Baker missions-- I got through story in 3 hours 6 minutes (game play clock-- not actual-- I reloaded several times if I died or failed a mission that cost me alot of time) (I purposely failed to mention Auntie and Umberto missions as they are unlocked by completing Avery missions--- I also purposely failed to mention Phil Cassidy since his are unlocked by completing Malibu) Spuds' GTA V 100% Checklist // My IV & Vice City Videos "I want to design a video game where you take care of all the people shot in all the other video games.... Spuds725
No-- in your stats there is a stat-- total time played... That is the stat I'm referring to-- it read that when I completed "keep your friends close" And I just checked and remembered my time wrong... it was 3 hours 32 minutes... my fastest run to 100% was 17 hours 6 minutes (where that 6 minutes came from).... Sorry.... I have a short clip of it on one of my hard drives--- it shows me finishing the story-- I then pause it and bring up my stats to show the time. Spuds...
