Why Trailer#2 will be air in Oct.

Personally i'm tired of all these predictions and all these theories. So far all these theories, even though they made alot of sense...haven't come true yet. It was interesting to read but it doesn't bring us any closer to a second trailer or a release date. I'm surprised by how many of these threads get created about what we think is the release date, or when it will be made known. Or when we can expect a new GTA V update and whatsoever...at the end of the day, they are all the same and i don't see the point of it.

In respond to the thread, I also think a new trailer will come in october, mainly because it's the end of Q3. A great opportunity for T2 to get their stocks up, at the same time as it's in good time before V hits the market. My guess is that V will be released either in March or April next year. The third and last official trailer i think will be released in february.

After the second trailer in october, magazines and perhaps a few gamesites will have more info and pictures. Same goes for Rockstars newswire. Will intens up in 2013.

Yeah but then they stopped doing that. The reasoning for October years ago was that they were just following what the industry was doing which is release during the month of October which is the single most successful month of the year in games. Since then, they've moved away from that, even Chinatown Wars released at other parts of the year. Chinatown Wars is a GTA game, too.

 

I'd like to think that a company is shaped by the people who work there (corporations are people? ), and as the majority of the people who worked at Rockstar back when they used to release GTA games in October no longer works there, and that currently the NYC Publishing team is largely made up of people who joined Rockstar in 2008 and later, they don't really think in the same terms as the company used to.

 

So when you say "October is a special month" for Rockstar, that's not really true anymore in that for the people who work there now, they don't have any special feeling towards October - with the exception of commemorating past GTA games.

They never stopped doing that. GTA IV was scheduled to be released in October, but it was delayed. You make it sound like they just decided to stop releasing GTA in October. Chinatown Wars was a DS exclusive and there probably is a reason it released in a different month. The original announced release was December for DS, and it did release in October for PSP. It wasn't a true R* North GTA anyways. If October didn't mean anything, GTA V wouldn't have been announced in October, there wouldn't be October license plates in the trailer, and the two R* North employee resumes listed October as GTA V's release date.

 

And new employees don't just change how a company runs. The Houser brothers are still there, and tradition still means something to them.

That's a bit harsh. I rather R* take their time to produce quality games (like they do) than go all Call of Duty on us and release a GTA game every year.

I am certain that the 2nd trailer will coincide with GTA SA's launch date, 24th October, 2004.

Purely based on the fact that October seems to be a special month for Rockstar and that V is heading back to Los Santos so 24th October seems likely in my book.

Not that we know of. But he sure as hell knows a lot more than the majority of posters here and I believe has had some form of contact with R* thru his work(?). If you have read any of his posts previously you would see he does know a great deal.

And more guess and more predictions. And with so much determination too, i keep being astounded by that. I don't mean that in a harsh way. I really wouldn't be surprised if all those dates you guys mentioned won't mean a thing. What if we don't get a releasedate announcement at all? Which is very possible. We could be getting a few more screenshots, a second trailer but it doesn't nessecarily have to show a releasedate at the end. Expect nothing, that's the best way i always say.

I never said that a forum leader = inside knowledge to how R* works or anything like that. I am just saying that Adraain writes for this site and he does/did have contact with R* thru his work as he used to write for IGN and I think it's rude to respond to forum leaders and moderators like that. Just my opinion, no one has to agree.

 

And it's the way he was saying it. It's rude and it pisses me off when people do that. You say that you can't have info to back up how you feel, and it's clear Adraain was giving his opinion yet he gets hit with "I didn't know you work for R*". That saying just pisses me off when it's given in response to someone giving their opinion and not stating that opinion as fact. Anyway. I just got tired of seeing that saying and I guess I decided to bitch about it now. Nevermind then.

OT: I think we'll get trailer 2 either the end of September or October latest. R* said "more to see in a few weeks or so". I may be reading too much into it but I am taking the "to see" part as obviously something visual; more screens or finally a trailer. Hopefully a trailer with a goddamn release date at the end.

 

I don't like the "or so" part but I guess they are just saying that to give themselves a bit of wiggle room time-wise.
