TrialzGTAS Posted September 9, 2012 Share Posted September 9, 2012 When GTA IV got announced on May 9th of 2006, to there first trailer released 11 months afterwards on March 1st 2007. That was bad. I was really sad for that year waiting for solid info. Jump a year after that with the release of 3 more trailers and a month more to the ACTUAL release of IV, it was LONG. 2 years. What that was was a little timeline regarding GTA IV. Fast forward to GTA V time when it got announced October 25th, and trailer number one being released November 2nd of 2011 and getting nothing but some screenshots a few weeks ago. Info has easily died down. GTA IV had a a lot of videos from ads of in-game stores/activities to having 4 trailers over a 2 year/24 month spam. (I just did that little timeline so you all have the idea how long our wait has been) Can you go on an extra year? Do you think we have to wait? Will we get more trailers? Playstation All-Stars. The Last of Us. Crysis 3. The Wii U. (Plenty more I am sure I have forgotten) But no, we will see GTA V out before May 2013. As I keep saying, Rockstar would be taking a serious risk if they release the game after next years E3. I'll be thinking about Watch Dogs for the PS4 instead of GTA V. I'll continue to wait, obviously, and buy it day one but it'll be frustrating. There's good games coming out in the next few months; Hitman, AC3 etc but honestly GTA V is my top game. Everything else is just "filler". If there are some development problems then the release could be even after and then the stockholders and we, the fans, will be pissed off. I'll wait for this game but still it's just stupid to announce a game with a trailer for example 20 months before the release. I would be annoyed if the release is after March 2013. Simple. I'm guessing it was a push from Take 2 Interative to help increase shares in the difficult climate.. and it worked for a short period of time. Mark my words, in a years time if GTAV comes out you'll think "wow, that went pretty fast". Just go play some other video games, live life, and GTAV will arrive before you know it. Just look at Final Fantasy Versus XIII and how long we are waiting for that. Don't even get me started on Kingdom Hearts 3. It's been 6 years almost from the second been out and they haven't even started making the third yet. Until Versus XIII is out of the door this won't happen. I doubt we will have to wait another year though. May by the latest is when I assume the game will be out. As for trailers, screens and so on I assume we will get the second trailer in October but if not it's no big deal. All I can say is as each day passes the more close we are to a second trailer, release date and the game been out there. Time will fly by once it get to near the end of October for me as many games are out that will keep me busy and many things happening in life. Until then it's a slight drag but nothing I can't deal with. Oh, well, the release is in March 2013 at latest right now. Don't make me get the barbed wire bat out! I so want to hurt you everytime you post this but that's impossible unfortunately. This is just a assumption not fact. Stop stating it as fact when it is not. Never was, never will be. I've got Horizon to look forward to too. It's such a great looking game, 25 sq miles(did some calculating) of beautiful diverse countryside.
