R* vs Naughty Dog

Naughty dog is top notch, and they seem to communicate, IMO. The Last Of Us is my most anticipated game at the moment, besides V, ofcourse. And Bethesda is top notch as well, however after experiencing Skyrim lag on PS3, and how Bethesda sh*t on PS3 players, I don't respect them like I once did and it completely ruined the experience. Oblivion is a masterpiece and far better than Skyrim anyways, IMO. Can't wait for Fallout 4, but will prolly get it on Xbox since Bethesda are Microsoft fanbois.

 

I don't really see how we can compare Naughty Dog and Rockstar Games' marketing techniques on very different games. IDK, I'll leave it at--both of them are two of the best in the buisness.

Oh no, other areas DO have fanboys, like I said, the only thing worse than GTA Fanboys are Lady Gaga Fans and One Direction Fans, ...also Bieber Fans, but they seem more mental challenged. GTA fanboys are some of THE worst in the gaming community, I'm talking Hardcore Fanboy here, the type that spend all their time just playing GTA games and the remaining time slating every other game and developer for NOT being GTA and yet in the same sentence, slating a developer when they TRY and do some things from GTA. The kind of person who's stuck in their old ways stating "That feature can't be used, it's not GTA, GTA wouldn't use that" until Rockstar introduces it and suddenly it becomes "OF COURSE they'd use that feature, it's a good choice! Obvious really, you were all idiots for doubting!". The kind of GTA fans who don't even play other Rockstar games, insisting on childish remarks like Max Gayne and L.A.Bore. The kind of fan who slates Call of Duty and Assassin's Creed for having yearly releases but wants a new GTA game ASAP and wants Rockstar to only work on GTA.

They really do, they look on GTA fanboys as crazy jerks, the outside world are only interested in GTA Modders and what they can do, and usually most of us modders arn't crazy rabid fanboys sitting in the GTA V section screaming about numbers they saw briefly in the trailer as a hidden release date.

Seriously, I think it's not fair to say that people who are most time in the GTA V section (like me, more than 95% of my posts are here in the V section) are just "GTA fanboys jerks", "crazy rabid fanboys", etc. Yes, I love GTA and I think it's one of the best gaming series ever but I'm not biased. I love this game series because I love the combination between driving, shooting, free-roaming and tons of activities. I like GTA IV very much (I still do!) but GTA V will be better because everything will be improved and I think it'll be the perfect spiritual successor of GTA SA and GTA IV! By the way: You're here since 7 years and you still don't know that you should avoid double-postings. No offence. Well, I know what you mean. Some people here are really die-hard GTA fans but it's not like that it's just since the first GTA V trailer. There were a lot fanboys back in 2011, 2010, 2009, etc. too. We're here on GTAForums so it shouldn't surprise you how many GTA fanboys here are.

Crash Bandicoot was fun when I was six years old. I downloaded it again on PSN and found it very repetitive and boring.

 

Those drake games, I've played almost every single one excluding the vita, and theyre alright. Not terribly coded, but nothing special either. Drake isnt really that intersting of a character. Another 30something white American male who shoots lots of people in a line and climbs up a cliff and wins the day and saves the girl. Yawn. I'd rather play an actual indiana jones game if i want that.

 

None of these games can compare to what the scope of GTA is trying to do: actually convincingly recreate reality istelf and let you mess around it. Way better than the prescripted platformers of Drake and Crash Bandicoot.

Thats your opinion. Most people with disagree. Linear is not a bad thing, not every game is open. And thats okay. Some games are fun that way. I don't even own a PS3 and I know how fun Uncharted is. And Uncharted 3 is rated equal to GTA4. 9.5-10/10.

guys, the xbox 360 and ps3 are similar, i've had both, and prefer the PS3, the Uncharted series are brilliant games to play, but so are some of the Xbox exclusives, Forza for example. they've both got their good points, and they've both got their bad points, we've all got our own opinions, can we just leave the fanboy attacks out of at least one topic?

My advice to you fanboys is to buy the Wii, PS3 and 360 and you will find that all consoles are good and have some great games.

I think you guys are giving Ghost too much of a hard time. Definitely a fanboy attitude, but he was responding to equally childish attitudes. A reasonable person doesn't just go "lul dat geim sux azz cuz it aint gta." There's a lot better ways to give one's opinion on a subjective entertainment product without sounding like an ass and thus inciting people who are passionate about it; e.g., "I don't like the games," "Not my cup of tea," "I didn't care for X," etc. If you make yourself sound like an ass, expect to be treated like an ass.
