I think we need one thread for all these "vs" comparisons. Also it's pointless as Tommy and Niko will always destroys who they go up against so it's null and void.

Anyway, Miamivicecity has already brought this up, but whoever Tommy and/or Niko go up against will win by a landslide. Needless to say, I voted Tommy, but Vic is one of my favorite protagonists and he definitely is a force to be reckoned with, so he cannot be completely tossed aside.

Victor kept his empire for a maximun of 2 years, Thomas, on the other hand, was shown to be still on control of Vice City during 1992; 6 years there.

That's stupid reason. If more people played VC rather than VCS then it's stupid to compare these two protagonists? No, I don't think so, it surely don't depend on how many people played VCS.

OT: I don't even think Vic was "King of Vice" back in 1984, according to storyline he left Vice shortly after he killed Martinez, Mendez. On other hand there is an evidence from SA that Tommy control pretty much whole VC even in 1992, 6 years after events of VCS. So I believe Tommy remained(maybe still is...) King if Vice for a long time.

If people actually knew how to vote rightfully, it wouldn't be a problem. But if you've only played VC, you'd vote for Tommy, which I'm 100% sure is the case. It's not really a fair fight in my opinion, because VCS was a PS exclusive.

Tommy Vercetti, he had Vice City by the balls by the end of 1986, and possibly for a long time after that as well, as it was quoted in SA by Salvatore Leone.

 

However, i did like Vic Vance as a protagonist, and things could have been very different in regards to who owned the city, had Lance survived and Tommy died in the final mission.
