thebig
I'd really love to see the wanted and economic system like this in game. It has to be much more difficult to escape the police and to get enough money to survive. And the idea of a bait car is really funny
fingo_
Well done! It is a very interesting preview and analysis. But I have do disagree with you in one point. I think the country radio station should be included. I don't see much difference between the 90's from San Andreas and 10's from V to exclude the country radio station. In GTA SA, even I'm not a country music fan, I used to only listen to K-Rose. This country radio station helped A LOT to create the mood from the countryside and 'spirit of adventure'. Although my suggestion, congratulations it is a very nice topic.
grope_4_that_date
Sorry but... It seems grope is the one who has no life. Ironically, its people like grope sitting around here 24/7 waiting for info.... Who go crazy enough to start making their own radio station logos... The whole post screams "forever alone", no offense. I enjoy writing. This is my entertainment at times; so it's fun for me. Some people watch TV, some people read, I create fake radio stations. Anyways, OT... Country music wouldnt suit V? You serious? they can still do old country music you know... San Andreas was 1992 and most the country music was still decades old for its time setting! It added character and atmosphere to cross country roadtrips. It's almost a certainty we will get country music. It's hilarious you go on to say maybe in Vice City... Sunny postcard beaches and neon signs... Which is polar opposite to country towns... There is too much bias opinion in your wishlist. Well done! It is a very interesting preview and analysis. But I have do disagree with you in one point. I think the country radio station should be included. People keep bringing this country thing up. I honestly think they'll go with a 60s/70s folk rock station instead, but sure... GTAV could have another country station. I don't completely disagree with you. However, I don't think Rockstar will repeat themselves. GTAV won't be GTA: San Andreas - so I don't think we'll see another K-Rose. @LotusRIP - Florida is a Southern state - which would fit current country music better than the West Coast. LethalCrizzle
Nice thread ! Im truly impressed with the time you have put into this and also your assistants that have helped out. I love the logo design for the radios stations.. to be honest it just really tops off the talent and enthusiasm we have in these very forums. The negative comments you are receiving are truly uncalled for and you are definitely the bigger person for ignoring them ! They are just jealous. People are commenting how this thread should be in the wish list.. but no. This thread definitely deserves it's own thread and its own recognition. Especially after the amount of effort you have put into this. It's not like you have wrote a thread just saying 'I want to be able to go into debt'. At the end of the day which is pretty much is here in the UK, I take my hat off to you. (I'm not wearing a hat but if i was then i would) Keep up the good work! If you need any more help with design and idea's by the way i would love to get involved.

No need to insult the member for it. but it's ok for the mods to insult people for their topics? http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=524112 Registration dates or notoriety of members are not taken into account when topics are locked. There's a clear distinction between this topic and other wish lists in their contents which have been locked . If you look at the first page, there are topics which are left open in that they are interesting and/or facilitate further discussion. BULLsh*t! God, I really don't know what's happened at this place, I thought the time before the July screens was bad, but now... Adriaan
About the country music talk and San Andreas on the previous page... It's actually kind of interesting if you think about it. People say the game was based on California and a part of Nevada but if you think about it they also injected some southern culture into it. Think of the southern accents of the people in the countryside areas. In reality, if you go out to the countryside in California, people don't have these sort of southern accents/culture. So Rockstar really wanted to represent southern american culture as well within San Andreas, and that's why you also ended up with a country music station. That's not to say it will be excluded from GTAV, just that it was quite clear that for SA they had an interest in doing some of those stuff - even though it didn't really realistically fit with the locations it was based on. Deffpony
The amount of moderation on this forum is a little much. Alot of forums dont need micro managing. IF the search function wasnt so bad then you would have to lock the so many forums. Mods should be here to prevent flaming and inappropriate behavior along with seeing that things are organized, like pinned topics. They shouldnt be locking every lame thread or even editing other peoples threads like my October GI thread with the ridiculous subtitle changes. Forums are usually self sufficient. If a topic is good people we continue to bump it due to its quality. If a topic sucks it will get lost in the pages unless searched for. The mods should be stricter on members to prevent spamming but less strict on threads and topics. Just a thought... but im just another dumb member i guess

Actually, you're wrong. I have family that lives north of Hollywood up thar in those mountains and they speak and everything very similar to appalachian people. I've been to many places in Cali where they talk like that, not just in the mountains. The south was born in the appalachias(Wv), BTW, then spread south---it was french down south(La., Mi., Ga.,) for a loong time. But mountain folk are in every state. Just wanted to point this out. And yes, there should be a country radio station with some Merle Haggard and the boys on it. Dwight Yoakem - 'What I don't know'---baddest assed country song of all time! Would love to listen to that while running over liberals downtown. Edited September 9, 2012 by AtomicPunk
grope_4_that_date
GTAV doesn't need a country station. It's already been done. I'll do my best to convince you otherwise. What they can do is create the same feel as K-Rose by introducing a Folk Rock, Classic Rock station. Here me out... here's the soundtrack I put together. Genre: Classic Rock; Folk Rock; Country Rock Led Zeplin: ("Hey Hey What Can I Do") Faces: ("Ooh La La") (Other possible track: Stay With Me) Crosby Stills & Nash: ("Carry On / Questions") (Other possible selections: Suite: Judy Blue Eyes, Wooden Ships, Love the One Your With) Captain Beyond: ("Sufficiently Breathless") Turn your volume up and give this song a few seconds to start up. Cat Stevens: ("Miles from Nowhere") (Other possible tracks: Trouble, Father & Son, Wild World) Yes: ("Your Move") John Denver: ("Rocky Mountain High") Neil Young: ("Helpless") (Other possible tracks: The Needle & The Damage Done, Heart of Gold) Harry Chapmin: ("Cat's In the Cradle") Three Dog Night: ("Shambala") (Other possible tracks: My Old Kentucky Home, Never Been to Spain, Liar, Your Song) Joe Cocker: ("Feelin' Alright") Ten Years After: ("I'd Love to Rule the World") The Band: ("The Weight") The Black Crowes: ("Hard to Handle") Bob Dylan: ("Knockin on Heaven's Door") The Rolling Stones: ("Can't You Hear Me Knockin") (They have more acoustic songs, but I love the beat after 2:45.) Steelers Wheel: ("Stuck in the Middle With You") The Eagles: ("Hotel California") Edited September 29, 2012 by grope_4_that_date

Country music has already been done, and Classic Rock hasn't? Are you crazy? lol. Country music has only been done ONCE in a GTA game. There's still a lot of country music out there they can cover, and ultimately, it makes good road trip music. Classic rock does not - unless you're driving really fast along the coast in a Banshee or something. But no. When I'm driving my old rusty pickup truck up the mountainside, I want to be listening to cheesy 'americana' country music. Also. The Beverly Hillbillies...
