Berserk Outlaw
Hello, everyone! I'm new to GTA Forums, as well as DYOM. Please, go easy on me, and give me some feedback, seeing as I am quite the newbie when it boils down to DYOM. I've worked very hard on these missions, so it would be nice for some opinions, tips, and etc. Mission-pack link: http://dyom.gtagames.nl/show/21124 Enjoy! ------------------------------------------------------- The year is late 2014---the U.S. and Russia have broke out into a chaotic war. It is your duty to STOP the Russians from infiltrating America, before it is too late. Deploy on missions as a new army recruit, Derrick Collins, and fight aside his buddies and squad mates. Grab intel, secure hostages, and find the men who are responsible for these events! PVT. Derrick Collins - A positive, young, soldier who has been recently recruited. This character is the player's role, throughout the whole entire first Act. Derrick's grand-father was a WWII vet, and he always saw soldiers as heroes. His grandfather inspired him enlist in the U.S. army. Derrick is apart of Blake's squad. SGT. Blake - A middle-aged Sergeant, who is the opposite of Derrick. He is a role model to Derrick, despite his negative insults towards the Private. Blake leads a fireteam of four. PFC. Austin Campbell - A young Private, just like Derrick, except he is a very individual person, who likes to roll solo. Austin is affiliated with the Elite Task Force; Bravo team, under command of General Thompson. Austin seems to like his squadmates; unlike most people, he tends not to interact with them. The player will take this role in the last mission of Act I, and the rest of Act II (coming soon.) LCPL - Carter Reid - A best friend, and a squad-mate of Austin Campbell. CPL - Damion Brooks - Best friend of Austin, and is a hardcore body-builder. He gets very tactical in tight situations, and always carries an SMG. SGT. Martin Ruiz - He can be an ass sometimes, but really helpful. Is a very determined leader, a very focused person. Very calm, and skilled person. R3N3GADEAPOC
Since your new I'm not gonna be too harsh. First off always publish missions, just makes it easier for people to play. The missions were kinda easy, try to put some challenge factor into it. In the first mission I felt you held people's hands too much, You gave lethal weapons like a MP5,M4,and Rocket Launcher to kill people with very low health, It just made the missions too easy, and in the second mission you give people a Minigun, its a little much ya think? I also recommend turning headshots off on enemy's, adds more challenge factor. Try adding more objectives, it makes the missions a lot more fun. I felt the story was too straight forward, there was almost no background to the main character. Since this is an army mission pack I recommend watching an army movie like Saving Pvt. Ryan or something similar for some more character development, try doing more research on the military to give some more character to the story, for example, I'm making a storyline on a mob family so I'm doing research on the mafia. Little things like that can really help develop a good storyline. Try putting a little bit more effort into it, It can really benefit.

I have improved on my mission designing although, I do realize that yes, my early and newbie missions were pretty f*cking easy. I have tried to make my missions by creating a realistic army-like environment, and and with more challenging missions. Indeed, I do research, to improve on my missions. Overall, I kinda want to discontinue this series, and make a new one, start fresh, because these missions are newbie, and not very fun + a very crappy half-assed story. I also challenge myself to make missions longer. The only reasons I give out alot of weapons is because I try to give my players lots of ways to complete the missions. It seems that didn't work out very well... Anyways, since I really freaking hate to discontinue, and leave cliffhangers, I might as well just conclude the story, with a final mission tomorrow.
