Audiophile
God I am never amazed anymore at what douchebags humans can be sometimes. I am late to this thread (wanted to stay out of the earlier flaming) but R.I.P to everyone that died that day. For some reason it really hit me today and I decided to watch United 93. Third or fourth time I see this movie....hits me everytime as if it was yesterday and I am not even American. You don't have to be American or even think a certain way about what happened that day to mourn such a massive loss of human life. I cringe whenever I see the picture of the Falling Man. I can't even imagine what I would do were I in a situation like that. To be faced with burning to death or leaping tp your death.... It's just very sad.... R.I.P once again to all those that died that day. spiderman3000
Why dont you guys look at it from a different prespective? It was done in the USA.. WHAT IF... it wasn't done in the USA? If it was done in some other country which no one cares about? Would anyone give a f*ck then? I highly doubt it. Oh yes, its the USA.. the all powerful country controlling the world. Bull f*cking sh*t. What happened to equality? People are still dying and being killed every single day and one gives a single damn thing about them. Audiophile
Stop being a f*cking douchebag. So that makes the deaths on 9/11 somehow less important? They somehow do not matter or should be ignored? Not only Americans died that day. 9/11 and 7/7 is a day I mark every year because yes, it happened in a specific place but it was part of a war on everyone in the West and it was a massive loss of human life for no reason whatsoever. sivispacem
9/11 initiated a more fundamental change in the balance and attitude of the world than any event in recent memory. Arguably, even the Second World War and Cold War didn't have the same impact. Condensing it down to body count is ridiculously arbitrary and just show a complete lack of understanding. I agree with what you are saying. You put it way more eloquently than I personally ever could have, as always. I just hate it when people try to downplay what happened on 9/11. If you're going to ignore the impact of it on the entire world than at least just come in, say R.I.P and leave. At least have some respect for those who died if you are going to ignore everything else. Anyways.... Americans think this is the worst sh*t ever. What about Mother f*cking Hiroshima and Nagaf*ckingsaki? People do bad things and people die. Sounds harsh but there's a time to grieve and a time to let it rest for the sake of everyones well being. No disrespect to those who lost their lives but this can't continue to be the shadow of sadness, and ESPECIALLY can't be the excuse to attack other nations, that's a copout now to be honest. Audiophile
No one is asking you to sit and cry about it/mourn all year round. The day of just leave your respects or don't post in this thread altogether if you don't agree with it. Maybe if you lost someone that day you would feel differently than "lol been 10 plus years, move on, people died but oh well cuz Hiroshima/native Americans etc etc". You probably aren't even old enough to remember the horror of that day. Honestly tho I don't want to start a flame war in this thread nor do I want to waste time arguing over the fact that some people can't be decent human beings. So when did being honest by saying that we should move on make us undecent? We are constantly being reminded of of 9/11, even though its irrelevant. We have stricter rules because of itAnd if someone really wanted to hijack another plane, just put ammonia and bleech into a couple of those 3 oz lotion bottles or get a glass bottle of coke from the airport amd break it to hijack the plane And you keep on saying that you don't wannna waste time arguing with people, yet you keep on responding
sivispacem
Please read my post at the end of the last page. 9/11 was a defining moment in international history. It's not just about mourning the dead, it's about considering how fundamentally the world has changed. BabeRuth
While I was out driving today I noticed that only 2 out of about 15 flags I noticed were at half-mast, the news had hardly any coverage, and it just seems like there was a sense of ordinariness about today that I've never seen before. Thats how our world is now-a-days, its sad .

Thats how our world is now-a-days, its sad . Yeah, but alot of flags went half-mast for Whitney Houston's death and such events. It's very pathetic. But I look forward to another year of remembrance. See you supporters and respectful users of this thread at the next 9/11 Thread in 2013.
BabeRuth
I always thought Mariah Carey had a better voice than Huston. But it was sad when she died . Like I said, the world is a cold and harsh now-a-days, it's like we don't care anymore.
