Whiskey
Two days and the thread has descended into chaos. Did Al Qaeda not bomb the US for their Interests in Israel and there policies? Not resource stealing? RIP not only the victims of the WTC, The Pentagon and Pennsylvania. But every other life which has been lost due to the following conflict. sivispacem
Did Al Qaeda not bomb the US for their Interests in Israel and there policies? In 1993, no less- or, at least, a precursor organisation to al-Qaeda as we currently see it. Plus 1998 in Nairobi and Dar Es Salaam, targeted attacks on US embassies. Oh, and the USS Cole bombing. A few more less well know incidents, too, such as the Khobar Towers, the Bojinka plot and various assassinations, both planned and acted upon. Sgt. Foley
Two days and the thread has descended into chaos. This is Off-Topic but I agree. In one corner you have a conspiracy nut, who says nothing else but "OMG JU GHUYZ ARE IDIUTZ, 9/11 WAS SUCH AN INSIDE JOB." In the other, you have people complaining about the government... @Everyone who complains about the sigs: Why did you even bother to look at them? I just wanted to share them because I had alot and I had nowhere else to use them, don't like them? Fine, you don't have to.
twinkiller
As much as I mourn the death of all those innocent people, I think these 9/11 threads should stop because you will always have those conspiracy f*ckers who always say it was an inside job, when logic and facts clearly prove otherwise. It doesn't matter if scientists and the facts prove them wrong, they will always be looking for something that isn't there.

Linki
I will never forget 9/11. I'm not even American, but that doesn't stop me from remembering. To the people whining about this being mentioned every year: You don't just stop paying respects to something when it's not "cool" anymore. Nobody cares for your angst, apathy and pathetic attention seeking behavior. Please leave. I've stopped caring about the political debate surrounding 9/11. The people who were lost weren't apart of it, and that's all that matters. Edited September 11, 2012 by Linki

I'm critical of America, just like any country, but the constant hate that the States gets (even from it's own people) is silly. Especially when it gets way out of hand and they start using the tragedy of 9/11 as something to sh*t on as well.
E.A.B.
So whatever happened to December 7th, a 'day that will live in infamy'? Why don't people take time out of their day to pray for that day that would supposedly never be forgotten? I can understand if the families still grieve. But at this point people post on their FB walls 'never forget I cri erytim ;_;' more because its socially demanded and not because people actually give a sh*t. I don't even go on FB and I'm pretty sure this is very common. I just feel like its time to move on. No one cared four years after it happened, and at this point people just do it to not be socially excluded. Or to sell keychains. edit-this moved to the backpage posting again never forget:

We on the other hand weren't alive so how can we even remember? Those old enough to remember what the world was really like, and how much things changed will never forget 9/11. You children that didn't understand the impact of what had happened, or were too young to even know what had happened will never understand. You've practically always lived in a world where something as heinous as the 9/11 attacks are possible, you don't know any different. It is your reality. Meaning it's ingrained in your psyche. It's practically a law of physics to young people, that something as catastrophic and tragic can happen. You've got to understand that before 9/11, that kind of thing was unimaginable. So for those of us that were mature enough to understand what had happened, it's kind of hard to just brush off, and move on. Pearl Harbor happened 71 years ago. 9/11 happened 11 years ago. 11 years is nothing. 71 years is practically a lifetime. My point is, that 9/11 is mentioned all the time - even Family Guy takes the p*ss out of it in the episode where Louis runs for Mayor. Economy collapses... 9/11. Gay marriage... 9/11. ccrogers15
I was around there 9/11. I was born in NYC. I lived there until 2003 actually. Then moved to Michigan. I was at the north tower (1wtc) at windows on the world with my parents on 9/9/01. I have no idea what we ate. I was only 5 years old. But i do clearly remember the view from the window. We sat on the side facing the empire state building. We left after we ate, gave a tip to a waitress and went home. Odd thinking that i was there, but in 2 days at that same time it would be gone. I was there at around 8PM-10PM or so on 9/9. Dont remember anything but that. At least i can say ive been there, and inside. Theres lots of people my age who never got to be there at all. I honestly wish they would just rebuild the twins instead of that... "Trophy" for terrorists. Building that new ugly blue thing is a trophy for osama bin laden. The twins should of been rebuilt like this: Building that proposed plan would of been great and a big FU to osama and his friends. The new twins would of sat next to the original footprints, while the old footprints would retain the old left over steel that did not fall from the facade, the new towers would be built near it. It would of been 10 stories taller. Edited September 11, 2012 by ccrogers15
