Zee Posted September 8, 2012 Share Posted September 8, 2012 Anyone here read Jacked: The Story of Grand Theft Auto? Amazing read, I just read the entire thing today, total page turner. Loved reading about the original DMA 575 gang working on the old GTAs. Brought a lot of nostalgia as well as I can remember growing up in the years from 2001-2008 from the first boom of gta3, how no one wanted vice city to be in the 80s, and how truly crazy a phenomena like GTA was back then. Amazing stuff really. I'm shocked more people don't mention it, while not officially authorized it paints a good picture of what I had always imagined the halls of R* to be like. Very interesting stuff, the bits about Cashmere games and the like. Saddest part was Donovan leaving. Sometimes I feel like he was the third Houser in some regards. Ah, what an amazing time. Zee Posted September 8, 2012 Author Share Posted September 8, 2012 Yes, it's a physical book available through Amazon, you can also get it in download form for iPads, Kindles etc. It's basically an unauthorized bio of the housers and their rise to fame as the makers of GTA, they interview several key players in the first 3D GTAs and their processes of making them.
