El Dildo
Company Uses Leaked Pics to Build and Patent iPhone 5 http://www.tomshardware.com/news/iPhone-5-...pecs,17452.html and yeah I know how Apple won that huge settlement regarding their design patents. but these kinds of laws never hold up in the single-party Communist superpower that is China. the company has already said that it plans to sue Apple if they try to put the iPhone 5 on the market in China. and the Chinese government will have their back. they don't listen to rulings passed in Western courts. Spider-Vice
That's funny, a bee-droid. I don't know why the Chinese always have the thirst to clone whatever they find, they're already a superpower, they don't need clones to mark their technology. The-King
Good on that company, not to mention that phone is an absolute f*cking beast, just look at the specs. Anything to knock Apple off of it's ridiculously undeserved high-horse is a good thing in my books. |PropagandaIncorporated:|: Steam:|: DeviantArt:|: Last.FM|
El Dildo
the funny thing is that Chinese manufacturers do this all the time with all sorts of different products. and they are always protected by their government. it's nothing new, not by a long shot. but this is the first time that a company as big as Apple has been the victim. it's usually low-profile products getting ripped off. Apple is more powerful than some entire nations. unfortunately, all their money and influence will be meaningless in China.
Otter
Hilarious. The double edged sword here is if Apple had patented the device early (which common sense would dictate) the papers would leak almost immediately. China! It's a wild place. Exkabewbikadid
When the US patent system is dicked up to the point that Apple can patent the shape of a goddamn wedge on the edges of their Macbook Airs, it's always nice to see something like this come around and bite them in the ass. I wish they could release this phone all over the world rather than just in China. That would really f*ck Apple over.

El Dildo
ok so now the Swiss Federal Railway service is considering suing Apple for copying their clock Apple Accused of Copying Design of Swiss Clock Switzerland's Schweizerische Bundesbahnen, or Swiss Federal Railway service, has accused Apple of copying the design of the Swiss Federal Railway service clock. Apple's version of this clock appears in the iPad's Clock app, which debuted as part of iOS 6, the latest version of Appe's mobile operating system... ...a spokesperson for the SBB said that they're currently trying to get in touch with Apple to resolve the situation. We imagine this will involve Apple licensing the design or else changing the iPad's Clock app. Either way, it's a change to see Apple, usually so quick to lawyer up at the first sight of any similarity, caught with what appears to be a blatant case of copying. Finn 7 five 11
Far out this is absolutely hilarious! Scumbag China! Hahahahahaha!! Apple's copping it from all sides!! Seems many companies are suing Apple in China, they recently lost 60million on the Ipad design, and they are being sued for voice recognition software, the name "Snow Leopard". http://www.businessweek.com/articles/2012-...apples-iphone-5 Offtopic - Call me immature but did anyone else find this part of the article funny? BGR points to an article on GizChina Who calls their site GizChina? JizzChina. Anyway that's enough childish jokes for me. El Dildo
Apple loses it's appeal against Samsung. they have been ordered to PUBLICLY apologize to Samsung, both on their website and in global publications. today it emerged that Apple lost that appeal, meaning the apology is back on. The BBC writes that Apple was previously ordered to place ads on its own UK website, as well as in widely read UK publications (including the Daily Mail, Financial Times, T3 Magazine), to "correct the damaging impression" that Samsung was a copycat. http://www.tomshardware.com/news/Apple-Sam...y-UK,18522.html
Finn 7 five 11
^They had to Publicly apologise by displaying ads on their site? My that is hilarious! It's like two kids getting into a fight and Mom steps in and forces one to apologise to the other, the other pokes his tongue out at the one who had to apoligize, the other being Samsung. Haha too funny.

Where did the idea of patenting rounded corners come from anyway? Your statement gave me a good laugh in a good way. Why are they obsessing over virtually every aspect of their design? This is how broken and open to corruption the US patent system is becoming (No, I'm not blaming Obama). Lawyers are very immature people indeed. The worst thing about it is that if they even get a job at a law firm after graduating university, which is very rare, they make an absolute sh*tload of money meanwhile contributing nothing to the economy and actually making negative contributions to society. Apple's patent BS is complete evidence of this. Suing over rounded corners, who the f*ck do they think they are!
Stinky12
Thank god the jury and the judges from other parts of the world has common sense instead of the US where they're heads are filled with air and have a jury that's biased.
