I think the game will be out in May 2013 based upon the release schedule R* seem to have for there games at the moment. I could be wrong though obviously. I agree i think it will be the first cross gen game release by R*. I think it will also be the standard i set all other game this gen too. It seems like it will be the most massive and well rounded game. And based on R* quality it will no doubt be the best. The quality and replay value of GTA games are incomparable in my book and i think people will still support GTA 5 far and beyond the generation change. People just have different opinions, I've had all the console GTAs since they came out and I still play GTA IV to this day. I was playing San Andreas last summer cause I got into SAMP for awhile. Grand Theft Auto is a great game but it isn't going to sell better than Call of Duty. This gen it's been mostly all about online and that's why Call of Duty is selling great. It's easy and use to be fun. People will buy the next one to hope they fix the broken features from the ones before. @ OP There is a good chance it will be. This gen had sh*t games. Mostly all online games. I want single player games that I can come back to and play anytime. Online is only for the moment. But they got to complete with Assassins Creed 3 which does look like a really good game. GTA V needs to be like SA for it to be the best game this gen to be honest. Every main GTA game has pretty much broken records, IV's records were broken by Call Of Duty, but bear in mind there was only 30 million consoles sold (PS3 and 360) when IV came out, now there has been over 130million PS3 and 360's sold. IV sold more than 5 million copies in the first week/2weeks of release http://www.vgchartz.com/weekly/39572/Global/ That was 1/6th of console owners who purchased the game in the first 2 weeks, now 1/6th would be 21million copies theoretically, GTA V has the ability to move a lot of copies, maybe more than Call Of Duty, don't be so quick to discount it. So there's not really anyway of telling. I personally think Watch Dogs which looked incredible at e3 might be really good, or the last of us. Grand Theft Auto is a great game but it isn't going to sell better than Callof Duty. GTA V will sell better and by quite a big margin actually, pre-order numbers for Black Ops 2 are less than the first one and MW3, people are losing interest in that sh*tty series, GTA IV broke sales records when it came out and the install base for consoles back then were quite small compared to how it's today, 24 million copies is a huge achievement for IV considering only 40-50m consoles were around back in 2008/9, now the install base is 3x times as much (141 Million to be exact, 72m 360s and 69m PS3s) and MW3 only managed to outsell IV by 5 million copies haha, GTA V will sell 10+ million copies on release day and 40/45m in it's first year and i'm not even joking, it might sell even more than that, believe me mate, you don't know how freaking popular GTA is worldwide.
