Do you Think There Will Ever Be a New Location?

as in a new fictional city and would you like to see it happen?

I've always wanted R* to make a fictional Chicago city, or atleast a city that isn't too major. But now that I thinked about, R* only uses LC, LS, and VC many times is because each city has it's own culture, unlike Chicago, Detroit, Philadelphia, and Atlanta.

 

Los Santos is more into that palm tree, beaches, and rich people culture, with it's Mexican influence. While Liberty City is in that big buildings, big city, and big people culture, with it's heavy Italian, Puerto Rican, and African-American culture. And Vice City is in that neon, retro, and tropical styled people, with it's Hatian and Cuban cultures.

they keep mentioning carcer city, but i doubt theyll make it. Maybe its up for the fans to make up in their imagination?

They should. Its becoming boring going through only three location. And they can make another places interesting, Bully and RDR shows that.

I think they'll make a new Vice City then try and find a different location, if they do decide to make VII.

i think the next step is a redone Vice City, and then back to Venturas, if it's not in V...then who knows? at present, i see no reason why the GTA series should not continue to thrive and be a top earner for R* and T2, which hopefully means they will always be working on GTA: Next

Probably this and maybe the rest of San Andreas (if San Fierro and Las Venturas don't make an appearance in V). If R* doesn't close down I don't see how they would stop making GTA games and by that logic at some point they will have to move on to something new.

 

However, I would have to say there is a slight possibility that one of the existing franchises or perhaps a new one that they own might take over, become more popular than GTA. That could be a good reason to drop GTA as a franchise if they run out of ideas or something.

 

In all honesty though, GTA is one of the most popular game franchises in the world and I think it will last as long as R* exists, unless they manage to mess it up somehow, kinda like IO messed up the new Hitman game, only much worse.

There has to be, they can't stick to 5 cities forever. In the next gen we might see SF and LV, as we haven't seen them in this one... but either way, yes, at some point they'll be forced to make a new city. A city based on a city we've not seen before, that is.

I'm thinking they're sticking to their 2 other cities for at least 2 more games before moving to Chicago... or some other country like Canada

Well they can't use the already established ones forever. It's inevitable that we'll see a new city/setting at some point.

 

Personally , I'd like to see VI or some other next-gen GTA be set in a Chicago parody with a heavy focus on street gang warfare.
