Need help gta wont start

i just bought gta4 and installed it to my sony vaio windows 7 64 bit yet when i go to launch it it says fatal err ws10 plz help im honestly not a computer person i always play playstiation but i wanna try pc games i keep hearing there better can you help

That error usually happens because of games for windows live installation. Download and run this GFWL update.

 

Where did you buy the game from? If it's the disk version, you should install this Patch 7 as well.
