Scott201 Posted September 6, 2012 Share Posted September 6, 2012 (edited) Hi , My name is Scott , I hosted a 60+ member role playing game on GTA IV for almost a year before deciding it was best for me to focus on school. However , with the much anticipated release of GTA V , I have decided that grand theft auto 5 will be the platform for my newest role playing project. My old game included many realistic features such as : online banking , opening business's , schooling for difficult fields , bus routes , court dates , prison time , ranks in many fields , minimum wages , car class's , housing , taxes , bills etc. My goal for this game is to take it to the next level. To take it from organized and well thought out TO Organized , complex , inavative and to get people to say " How was this possibe?." In order to take this game to the next level of Role Playing , I need to commence working on the project hopefully by the latest mid-October just in case there is a december release. If not , well the more time the better prepared we will be. I am here not only to introduce to you all the oppurtunity to join this " League " but also to send out a call for help. My last game would not have been possible had it not been for my strong gouvernment (Props to SlickSuspect , Computerskid2 and Raptor91). I have been off of xbox for over a year now and therefore am no longer intouch with my previous gouvernment and am looking for fresh young talent to help be the leaders of the next generation of RP on GTA. As for now here are the possitions I need filled ( Ranked by importance ) : 1- A web Designer : My old game ran well because of the website built by SlickSuspect. However , this website needs to be perfect. I am looking for someone who has extreme abilities in web design and can handle deadlines once we know the release date. This person needs to be very comfortable and be able to excel in the Web Design field. Many different things will be needed on this website. Just a few examples are : Functioning Forums , Online profiles for each player , A moch online banking system etc.) 2- Head of Human Resources (HR): The one thing my game lacked last time around was a person in charge of going out and getting us new recruits. I need someone who can get us a good flow of new commers by going out on xbox to recruit , using online forums and marketing the League on various media outlets. This person will also have a very active role in day to day business once the game starts running. 3- Imagineer: Imagineers are most formally known as people who work for Disney. It is there job to come up with new ideas and then engineer them themselves. I'm looking for someone who has a great view of where the game should be heading and always thinking of new ideas. He must also be able to put the production of those ideas into motion. For now , these are the three positions I need filled before October 8th 2012. In order to apply for one of these positions you must email me your resume. Your resume should include the following: -Any past experience if so exists. (especially important for WebDesigner position.) -Why you think you would be better than anyone for the job. - Your current job or studies. -How many hours per week you'd be willing to give to the job ( don't worry it doesn't have to be much ) - The following Personal Data ( FirstName ; Gamertag ; Age) I've created an email for this new game : [email protected] Remember the Deadline is October 8th 2012. I can get our server(s) and website(s) very popular by any means necessary. I have a lot of tools and media resources at my disposal. Also I like the idea of roleplaying in GTA, sounds fun. At first it may sound like something that only little kids participate in but I'm grown and I still like the idea. Eventually it got to the point where we ran two servers at the same time. So more than half the members could play at once ! Wether you call it life or not doesn't change the fact that it is Role Playing. You are taking the role of a simulated life. You are right in saying however that it is not similar to the RP's out there today. But it is definetly Role Playing. Thanks for the comment , Scott @JoeJoe this is obviously a game built for lovers of the game. All my time and anyone working on it or playing in it , is doing so for free. It is definetly not for people who want to make profits. It's for the fun and love of GTA and RP. Thanks. Scott201 Posted September 10, 2012 Author Share Posted September 10, 2012 @Captaincapri It is very difficult to summarize the potential of a game like this and most times it depends on how involved and serious the players are about the advancement of the game. On a primary basis ( meaning just generally what you can expect.) is to start in the lobby where any news or updates will be explained by the leader (me) or who ever might be running that day in my absense. The first few gam will be mostly setting players accounts up and such. Once this is done , every time you play you will have a certain job. For example you may have chosent to be a cop. In that case every time we play you would be in a cop car on duty stopping players for tickets or responding to calls of any kind that might occur. (Note: You can only be a cop once you've passed training. This prevents us from having stupid and reckless cops.) Besides jobs , players are commited to paying fine , taxes , house payments (if they have one) , car payments etc. Life insurance and car insurance are also options. The objective of some players is to just have fun role playing and for others (the more determined) they wish to amass as much virtual money as possible. This can be done by working hard , opening bussiness's and expanded on those business's. If players are more involved the following things could be implemented : - A virtual stock market , - Expansions to more than one server , - the introduction of pro racing , - a properly functioning court system , - a almost proper democracy ETC. The possibilities are endless if the members and government are commited to the game. ( commited means being able to donate around 2-4 hours of your time a week. Mind you only a handful of dedicated people is needed to advance the game.) Hope this helps , and if you're interested in one of those positions listed above , don't forget to email me !! As a dedicated role-play group leader on GTA IV since it's release I can relate majorly to what you are set on doing. My group focused on the realistic aspects of life much like yours, in fact it is named Our Nation™. The reason I am saying this is that perhaps if any governmental positions are open or even a co-leader position I would be greatly interested and invested in running. Recently I decided to do the same as you did, focus on school. However, by the time March comes around I will be completely available to provide any assistance. In the meantime I would be happy to draft laws and e-mail them to you for edit and review, also to show you the government infrastructure that I successfully provided for my group. People use to say I was a "control freak" or "anal retentive" for coming up with an idea like yours, but I told them it was the future of GTA role-play and it is...
