He said no nothing yet from rockstar... So i also asked if i cud preorder the game and he said that gta5 isnt even in their system yet.... It's impossible with no announcements of platforms or if there are special editions, and no one knows what preorder bonuses Rockstar will offer with certain retailers. All stores can do is make a list of people they've taken money from. Unless the store offers something special for giving them your money it's pointless. Gamestop employee said that September will be the preorders for GTA V. I'm just saying you can "preorder" at a store but since there's no actual GTA V products announced yet, only that the game is in development, you don't accomplish any more than if you preordered GTA VI right now. Even though several theories from some members here are very well thought out and make alot of sense...i just don't see it happening anymore. Remember how in July they said..we are working hard on this game. We will have some assets for you soon and a trailer when we are ready. Those shots finally came around the end of August, but no trailer yet. They then said...we will be back in a few weeks with some more to see...or something like that. I don't know man, it's because of those things that make me start thinking like..this game is far from done, it really doesn't sound close to being done. Doesn't sound like a project that is entering it's final stage of development to me. And then weird things like last year when it was said it was already in the final stages of development. People should be able to think what they want, especially when we have no idea when R* is planning to release V. It's almost impossible for 2012 believers to look bad when we finally know what the release date is, because we believe it will be 2012, but most understand there's a good chance it will come out in 2013. Anyone who acts like they know something when they clearly don't is a prime example of an ignorant person. It's better to be open-minded when you don't know sh*t. Noire, Rockstar started talking about preorder bonuses about 2 months out from the game. That's when the product becomes a real thing that stores can order wholesale. Until then you're just on a list in that store. So it is true we're running out of time for 2012 but Rockstar has about another month in which they could announce a 2012 release date and pull everything together. One of the two must happen in the next month or so. No GTA V announcment in September, spread bet on Take2 shares falling. Then buy a load after they do. IDK what Gamestop is in US, but I expect it to be like a franchise or something no? Much like McDonalds etc where each store has it's own owner. So unless those owners and what not contact the HQ of Gamestop, I doubt they'll have any sort of info about the game... Why would you want to pre-order it a year before release anyways... Well you can't blame them if it doesn't get released on that date since it says 'Subject to change' so therefore it's totally buyers fault if he starts crying to Tesco or something when it doesn't come out. Many UK retailers are just using a great opportunity by setting random 'subject to change' dates and get the money off your pockets Can't blame them tho. They could, but i really doubt they will now, i was naive before and was thinking the October release because that's when past releases were even though they have since changed the fiscal year. It's not that kind of pre-order, those depend on the store and they never ever give you an expectation cause they don't know anything at all, it's an internal thing, it's not lets called it an "official pre-order", when the official pre-order time begins sometimes you don't know the date yet but the stores already know when the game will reach the stores, other times you already know the date and that's it. They could send out an email today to stores, put out a trailer tomorrow announcing release date and pre-orders starting Saturday.
