The Video Editor in GTA IV was the most amazing thing R* had ever done i mean if you look at some youtube GTA IV videos they are so amazing infact they look like movies, if R* improves it i would be so great

Improvements That Could be Made.

* More Slow Motion Options

* No limitations regarding Clip Capture (Remove the 30 Second Limit)

* Faster Rendering.

* Option for uploading to YouTube (If Possible)

* Remove Camera Limits (Ability to Look from any Angle and cover unlimited area)

An example is given below

I think the console players deserve this but as a pc gamer it was great for me, but it could always improve icon14.gif

I personally voted no, i found it quite a waste of space (and memory if you leave it on). If I would need to make a video, i would use fraps with hud & radar off. Also, this could delay the game, which i don't really want.

Release PC Version and console version on same day, Rockstar, please!

About your improvement suggestions:

*You can remove markers, just select it and press delete.

*Yes.

*Yea, but your performance would be affected.

*Could be optimised but if rendering just goes faster, then the final render would look like crap.

Fraps is a FPS eater while the IV Video Editor does not Lag at all once rendered and it wasn't a waste of space. but i have a feeling this time there won't be one but if R* does not actually include this i would be so disappointed.

I'd love to see it back without a doubt, I still have a few from 2009 to remind me of the good times when the servers were filled with people

I want to see some improvements of course, mostly to save up longer times than 30 seconds or something, I don't really care about the "Upload to Youtube" stuff since I love recording the clip with fraps and editing it on Sony Vegas for better quality.

* No f*cking annoying camera limits

* Blur effect

* Option to edit 2 scenes at the same time (one scene on the left, another in the right), this would be good for creating great transitions between 2 different scenes

Skate 2 and 3 did it right for consoles.

So it wouldn't be too hard.

You can't compare such thing to GTA V, the less space it needs, the better quality (because of this generation console limitations), and I don't think that skate 2 or 3 is a "high quality" videogame

Are you actually calling V "high quality"?

Did you completely overlook the 720p screenshots?

How much space do you think a mere in-game editor would take up?

To reply in a stupid way: Your post gave me cancer.

Seriously now.. Fraps can't replace the video editor. Absolutely not. Let alone the feature with the free camera angles you can't do with fraps, lol. There wouldn't be any amazing machinimas on youtube or socialclubtv without the editor (plus other external programs of course).

And I am certain that the PC version won't be released more than one month later than the console versions if they follow the pattern of MP3 development (along with the optimization). Maybe even on the same day.

The video editor MUST return in GTAV. With improvements of course.

Too make money and spam people on youtube, no thanks.

And another one.. suicidal.gif

More that you may think, and it's not just the space, the performance is also important.

Reading your comment makes me think you are one of those as*holes who think that a game has high or low quality by just looking at the graphics

Max Payne 3 was actually going to be released at the same time on both consoles and PC, but the PC version got delayed.

I'm a console player but I definetely want to see it return with improvements.

It really amazes me what can come out of people's minds. It gives the game a lot more value.

I agree. So many good machinimas

couldn't be done if R* didn't included that in-game video editor.

Hopefully R* will include that feature in consoles too in V :]

Option for uploading to YouTube (If Possible)

Not really necessary.

But they should try to improve it a bit more. Well, not only video editor, but also lot of tools to make whole actions to shot. Something like a movie studio where you create characters to play in your movie, tell them what to do and participate by yourself. Separate option would help gta's performance for sure. By now, GTA IV needs to be modded in order to make some good looking movie. I dont want to mod my game, I want developers to give me all these animations and commands without modding it.

"Performance"

What the f*ck are you even talking about. We're not going to be rendering video at 2560x1440 16:9 resolution using hyperthreading from an i7.

It's a simple video editor for a low resolution game, doing the same thing Skate did. The xbox 360's tricore is more than powerful enough to run a simple editor.

I didn't say it was low quality at all. Hell, I didn't even assault the graphics.

I merely said that the resolution is low in the screenshots. Stop being such a child.

This.

I mean if console players IF do not get that feature they still be able to see many amazing videos of GTA V and explore in a new way.

True, that one was a really good one. The only thing I think the editor lacks is the animations. I do not use the editor myself but I think a little more animations should be included to actually give the posibilities of creating cinematics a la Rockstar.

Sí, es bueno encontrarse con gente española, que todo lo pintan tan internacional que siempre nos olvidamos que a nivel nacional estamos igual de ansiosos que fuera jajaja. Que ganas de que anuncien algo del V.

P.S. guys i don't know how to increase text size when i click preview it just shows me the tag line nothing changes.

* Ability to delete a marker after placement

You can.

* More Slow Motion Options

What?

* No limitations regarding Clip Capture (Remove the 30 Second Limit)

Not gonna happen.

* Faster Rendering.

Learn PCs.

* Option for uploading to YouTube (If Possible)

No, they got Social Club for it.

* Remove Camera Limits (Ability to Look from any Angle)

Depends, but can't be too far.

Only change I'd like is multiple songs in a video, more text fonts, transitions, flashes etc...it's actually good as it is now.

You can use a trainer to do animations, but it's not very convenient. If you wanted to spend an hour creating a 10 second scene, you could even lipsync your character. Just imagine what we could do with an editor as complex as Source Filmmaker.

For now, I'd be happy to get the same editor in GTA V but improvements would be welcome, of course. It would be nice if there were settings for the clip capture system such as capture distance so people with more powerful rigs wouldn't have to worry about strict camera limits. The time limit was annoying as well, especially if making a full-length machinima. Another simple addition would be letting us name clips so we know what each clip is when we come to put them together - again useful for machinimas.
