Jonesizzle
Ill never understand why people keep buying these. I'll never understand people's posting tendencies either, but I don't barge into topics splurging it every where. In fact, I haven't bought a Madden since Mr. Ray Lewis honed the cover. This year is the best Madden since the 360/PS3 era, easily. The physics, a lone, for this game is amazing and the Connected Careers is a interesting turn in exchange for the 'Franchise' mode. I just hate you cannot import draft classes from NCAA '13.
redx165
Ill never understand why people keep buying these. I buy one a console. The last Madden I had was 10 and after I heard 11 was the worst decide to not buy another madden. But 13 really does feel like a different game. The only thing I really don't like is how fast the quarterback can run. They should be slowed down a little.
Jonesizzle
Indeed. Someone I was playing online was the Patriots, and they ended up running a 29 yard gain with Tom Brady. I was playing a all pass defense, but never the less, Brady shouldn't be running a 29 yard gain regardless of the defense. I also understand they took away the option to play friends in ranked matches for stat padding purposes (I think), but I wish they were able to allow one ranked matched with a friend a week or something. It's not the same as a unranked match for some reason. Anybody who wants a game on the 360 let me know. gamertag: Jonesizzle

I was just stating that I don't find peoples appeal in paying $60 every year for basically the same game. I apologise if my opinion on a video game about football isn't to your liking. It's a new engine this year and they did away with Franchise/Superstar for Connected Careers. I know it's easy to say "HAHA WHO WOULD PAY $60 FOR UPDATED ROSTERS?1?" but they do make an effort to improve/change the game year to year. I don't buy it every year, I'm pretty sure they break some things only to fix it for the next year, but saying you don't understand how people buy it every year is really naive. I mean, they're spitting out Call of Duty's each year in the same way, do you understand why someone would buy each one? How about Halo? Or all the other games for every single sport in the world??? This "updated engine" really does nothing to change the actual gameplay, just the looks of the tackles and whatnot. And yes, updated rosters are pretty much what your paying for with any sports game. All those games you mentioned are complete sh*t, especially Call of Duty. The only exception from that list would be Halo. They actually change things when they release a new game. Another franchise that justifies its yearly release is Assassin's Creed, as they also change things and add new content. See? The reason I dislike Madden and COD is because they're stealing peoples' money every year with fake improvements like this dumb "new engine" and COD's super new and original multiplayer improvements. And people are dumb enough to throw their money away each year.
Jonesizzle
I didnThis "updated engine" really does nothing to change the actual gameplay, just the looks of the tackles and whatnot. Please play the demo or something before you say something like that. This game is completely different from any other Madden. This new engine changes gameplay almost completely. We all know what EA does, we do man, but sometimes they release/ are affiliated with some pretty damn good games.. believe it or not. Madden is worth the buy this year if you want something different. Edited September 9, 2012 by DOOM!
trip
believe it or not. Madden is worth the buy this year if you want something different. I concur. I've never missed a year when purchasing Madden(and I go back to version 1). The only reason I own an xbox is because they stopped releasing it on PC - yep, I'm one of those Madden freaks. The new engine and subtle changes make this a good year for the franchise. EA kind of had to do something, because the Madden crowd was really starting the get fed up with the same redressed releases. @m8son - as DOOM! kinda said - don't talk out of your ass. The new engine has totally changed game play and physics...way more than just animations. m8son
Well then I'll have to clear up my hard drive to see the demo. But from almost every one I know who plays Madden, they told me that it does very little to change the game. And the looks of everything from the trailers just look silly. The tackles honestly don't look as realistic as everyone makes them out to be.

The tackles honestly don't look as realistic as everyone makes them out to be. Heads up - it took a bit to grow on me. The demo didn't do anything for me and it took a few games into my regular season with the retail release before I really started to settle in and all. I can see it be easy to discount based on the past decade of sh*tty Maddens. But it is totally different and well worth it. Just the fact that players can't bleed through other players is a huge change. That alone makes for some funny ass tackles too. I had a great touchdown pass last night that ended up in a hilarious twisted body - almost wanted to snap a pic. The offense seems way more balanced this year. It doesn't feel like a 'focus on D', 'focus on O', 'focus on run game', 'focus on pass game' release. It's hard to explain and not have it sound like a cheesy game review, but they did good this year...f*ckin-a finally.
