Team Death Match

 

So I want to play the occasional Team Death Match on PS3 GTA IV, yet whenever I join a quick game, it's either two situations, 75% of the time it's a collection of players from Saudi Arabia, KSA and lots of stupid XxxX in their account names, they only ever pick Colony Island and Rifles, secondly 25% of the time it's a low rank player picking airport and some ridiculous other settings, of which no decent players will ever decide to stay and play.

 

So I host my game, pick my own settings, something balanced like Standard / Bohan / No health reticule... yet these f*ckers from the 75% will join, accumulate and ultimately kick me out, after begging me to change to Assault Rifles and Colony island, they even beg for the health reticule to be on too.

 

So then I'm forced out of desperation to play these players, and I can't touch them, they're too good, too laggy at times, and seem to get headshots without little effort, they shoot from angles that protect them constantly too (cornershooting) Are they legitimately good players? and I just suck? or are they likely to be using turbo's?

So occasionally I'll play under different account names, and often or not I'll find games, full of good players, but guess what, they're all on the same side. Now there's fun to be had if the room is also full of other players too, yet it's not. It's 3-5 high ranked players teamed up waiting for an even number of low ranked players, there's only ever going to be one winner here, yet these cowards will even start the game with themselves out numbering the new players, like a 5 vs 3 game. So under the disguise of the low account player, I take up the challenge to try and teach these type of players a lesson, which occasionally goes to plan. End of the game, I'm kicked. Nobody likes a challenge.

The worse thing is, after beating them fairly, they will accuse me of cheating. I'm sure they do this, to make themselves feel a little more secure about the thought of being beaten by a lower ranked player.

Race

 

I don't really like racing much on GTA, but this is one of the worse modes for quitters I have ever seen. Crashed on the first corner....they leave the game....I practiced the tracks on Episodes from Liberty City against randoms, and never found one decent player that would stay and give a challenge, yet personally if I come across a really good player, I'll stay and enjoy the challenge of beating them, heck I might even send a message telling them, well done or well played.

I'm sorry if I sound like DarkBernardKing I'm just a bit sick of the amount of bullsh*t I find on GTA, it's no wonder not many players enjoy it online, because it's so full of pathetic players on every active mode.

I don't have much to say on the CnC or TMW issues as I don't really play those modes as much as I'd like to.

 

 

But the Assault Rifles and Colony Island issue I encounter ALL the f*cking time.

 

I hate Colony Island due to it's many walls with open areas ahead of them making it ideal for corner-shooters.

 

Regarding the Assault Rifles part, I hate playing Single Tier of anyone weapon, be it Pistols, Shotguns, SMGs etc.

I like the idea of adding a little bit of variety into the battlefield, so I commonly select Standard or Powerful for TDM's.

 

 

Races, I feel ya..

 

I'll be racing on TL&D and if I kill the guy with a bat swing, they'll just quit.

 

I've experienced the same on IV and TBoGT is they miss a corner.

I think you just cant find good players, on PC there are players who cornershot all the time, mostly brazilians with their superlags and there are some nice players which when you are shooting at them dont run quickly to a corner but fight you like they are, you can also find airport tdms full of helis, snipers etc or happiness island tdms with people playing it defense the tower style and much more

It's interesting to read about PC having issues with Brazilian players !

 

Some reason KSA kids just love playing GTA. I don't know at times if a player is genuinely good or is actually cheating, and I'd hate to label a good player a cheater if they're not, but some of these XxIf*ckgoats_KsAsxX types are really hard to beat, at a distance in the open they seem at their weakest, however they seem to master the art of cornershooting, even using tree's! Sometimes I try to force them to play up close, and at this point they start lagging, and it goes all slow motion, hell I've even been the victim of them knifing me, whilst I shoot at their face...

 

It's sad, that it is no longer possible to get a nice team death match against random players. I feel bad for new players just trying GTA to find themselves the victim of these pathetic players. No wonder free mode is the only mode some 'noobs' play.

 

I remember it being different when it was still quite new in 2009, I was probably still playing a mix of autoaim and disallow then , but atleast I saw team death matches played using vehicles, using standard in the docks, snipers on rooftops and just lots of fun and fairly balanced teams...none of this current bullsh*t.

Yep, at some point almost all brazilian regulars got busted on cheating, they also lag hard and only english words they know are "go 1vs1 or fear motherf*ck" I gave it a shot couple times but when they were losing like 4-1 they started to invite their brazilian friends to spectact which made them impossible to kill becouse of their even bigger lags.

TDM, I join and 90% of the time it's a whole bunch of ksa's and Xxxxsh*txxxX. And they kill you so fast and it seems that no matter what you do, they never die!. It can't be that we suck, even though they might be "good" but their always laggy as f*ck(I try to knife them, it looks like I am and then they appear behind me and kill me) an the Colony Island bs is driving me crazy. Sometimes AA TDM's are way more fun since you got lot's of newbies that use all kinds of weapons but since cars are useless it's not as fun.

 

Lol I done that on CnC while using my low rank account. Especially if the low ranks put one vs all. I message one or two newbs, explain them what the deal it's and tell them to follow my lead Most of the time we manage to outsmart the Bully High ranks lol and then I get messages of being a cheater. I know two Brazilian players on ps3, and both are cool kids, and good players, so maybe it's limited to PC.Ksa and French players tend to be the worse on ps3! But I'm sure every country has it's morons !

CrimsonFlames, can you remember that game of CnC, vs the four players siding against noobs and yourself, I can't remember their names, but they were WicKeD players under the disguise of low rank accounts. Well I had my mic on after the game having spectated, after you killed the boss with the sniper....they were saying sh*t like 'what a pussy using a sniper....' etc etc....so what do they do, they change weapons to SMG only.

I've had the experience of playing with a lot of great players and know for a fact, that none have ever changed the settings because they couldn't cope with losing to a decent challenger, the only players I've seen do this, are the AA fools, who decided to play with only assault rifles after being Lightening_bolted.

They were half way through.

4 people, each player has a score of $1100-1700, I have 0.

I see a guy running, meh. Rocket Launcher, why not?

Shoot, boom, guy goes flying, lands on floor, pedestrian car runs him over.

By the looks of it, the respawn time was 15 or more seconds.

The guy leaves,

I get a message saying what a typical raging kid would say (Y'know, p*ssy, f*ggot, c**t, all that)

Then, I scroll down

"CAN U STOP"

"WHYD U KILL ME"

"CAN U LET ME PLAY? ILL KILL UR F*CKING FAMILY"

"I F*CKING HATE YOU"

I was just laughing so hard my kidney area started hurting, my ribs started hurting, I couldn't even breath

I even laughed in the shower & slipped on a bar of soap.

 

Did I mention him saying he was in the US Military? LOL

im far from being the best player on gta4 mp but i've gotten a lot better then i used to be.

but since i play tbogt about all the time but we get the same sh*t there as well, well we get bombed by players in buzzards which doesn't bother me, i do it myself as well anyways , but gets me is the players who cheat like using the explosion glitch to kill other players on the map or in tbogt case (using the noose tank) to kill players or single out a certain player and kill him or her with that tank (i've had that happen to me) .

Does TDM even work?

 

I used to enjoy it, but recently I am never able to even start the game.

I always end up in an empty waiting room and spend up to 15 minutes waiting to get at least 2,3 players in.

 

Most of the times i get tired of waiting and just quit.

 

I never really played any game other than FM, TDM, TURF, RACE and GTARace (and take in count i barely touched LAD and BOGT.

But I will share my feelings for the ones above.

 

As far as RACE goes ... I used to LOVE races on MTA (MultiTheftAuto) back in the days. But races in GTA4 just get ... boring.

There are people quitting If they are not leading, people turn around and headcrash you ... its just pathetic.

Plus the lag is weird. I have strong connection, but sometimes weird things happen.

 

I would enjoy some TURF If there would be some games out there.

If I remember correctly in TURF the "close blips" actualy worked, meaning you dont see the enemy on the map untill they are really close.

 

I wish this would also work in FM ...

I agree with you on mostly everything you bring up here, AJ.

 

TDM is always flooded with the same bullsh*t. I usually get flung into Happiness Island or Colony Island with just RPGs or rifles. I usually like a nice conversation every now and again on the microphone, but then I have to completely shut off the chat volume so I don't have to listen to these kids scream with the mic in their mouth or sing along to some nonsense. Plus, once I don't respond to them on the mic (since I turn my headset volume off), I get hit with tons of messages asking 'y u no tawk????'. It's not worth the time and effort to wait in a lobby for a horrid game, when nine times out of ten my teammates flee from the area to go buzz around the city.

 

TMW is basically straightforward, but I do not have any real complaints; I would if I got really picky. As of late, CNC has been getting out of hand. I'll be the Boss and before I know it the rounds over as I've just been decapitated by my own teammate. It only takes one idiot to ruin an entire game of CNC. Plus, I'll be the only one who actually cares about the fact that the game was just screwed over.

Think you have it bad? Let me tell you. I have played online in BOGT, and I swear to god at least 99% of every free roam game I join is filled with f*cking chopper douches. I even turned f*cking friendly fire off, and still get chopper douches just killing me with explosive force instead. Not only that, but I always, always, ALWAYS get targeted by these assholes. If I have a nice sports car, I can pretty much say goodbye the minute I start driving around the airport. But hell, sometimes I don't even have to be at the god damn airport. Sometimes I'll be on the complete opposite end of the map from all other players, and some asshole will still hunt me down in a god damn buzzard and blow my infernus up f*cking again.

 

The worst part is when I complain about it, people treat me as if I'm the asshole. Oh sure, they just spawn camped me 97 times and are now killing me repeatedly against my will with friendly fire off and don't ever let me have a car so I can drive away from this nonsense, but no, apparently I'm the douche for complaining about it. I know it's free mode and people can do what they want. I know people will tell me to just find another game. Problem is, most of the time, it puts me back in the same room or in another room full of chopper douches who immediately target me. With f*cking friendly fire on. This is why I tried to start a jackass stunt gang, signed up at office riot forums, and joined some biker gang as a hangaround, because at least then I know I'll be gaming with people who won't go straight for the chopper and start killing me constantly AGAIN.

 

Also, they still target me even if I'm not even driving a vehicle. Just because. With friendly fire off.

Question for you Bruno Dawg, you spawn right next to an RPG, with the weapons on powerful, the opponent you are playing is using an infernus for protected driveby, what do you do?

 

I hate RPG's too- way overpowered and because many players will use them instead of other weapons, but I don't think it's fair to automatically label every player as a noob if they use one!

That really sucks bro, you're missing a lot of good team objective modes ! And TLaD is awesome, when you can get a game organised.

 

I can't believe what an awesome game I had of TDM last night, it was against rank 5-8, genuine players, and just an all out war in the open, with cars being used for cover, flanking strategies, roof top sniping.... It was perfectly balanced with 4 vs 4 too!

The same reason I never really played too much freemode when I first got the game, respect to the players that did master the annihilators, but a lot of them are little fa**ots, shoot one down, kill him once and he'll leave the game in tears, yet they have no problem killing you from the sky over and over again, I welcome the challenge now, but I understand if you want to just chill and explore.

DarkKingBernard does the RPG get the job done and kill the f*cker you're aiming for? Stop complaining about it and learn to fight against it.

Edit: I wont use the RPG straight away but if that is the closest weapon I will use it. If a group of people attack me I will level the playing field and wipe a couple out with the RPG.
