sorry to break it to you, but 1080p is pc exclusive.

And could you care to share the source of your wisdom? biggrin.gif

Because Wikipedia for example disagrees with you. wink.gif

Now 1080p resolution is available in all types of television, including plasma, LCD, DLP front and rear projection, and LCD projection.

***** EDIT *****

And some more WikiQuotes

The AV equipment manufacturing industry has adopted the term Full HD as the consumer-friendly marketing term to mean the set is a safe purchase because it can display all available HD resolutions up to 1080p.

i agree, most modern TV's can play 1080p and PS3 does support it, however GTA V, being a huge-ass game, will probably not be able to run 1080p on consoles due to hardware limitations.

surround sound theater audio made up of various brands, nothing too crazy (sony, polk audio, velodine, jbl)

Epson HD projector. I typically play on about 72-inches, but can magnify the projection size to about 95 inches.

Nothing makes these new games come to life like a giant HD projection, IMO. for those here who've ever wondered if a projector is worth it, it is.

And wasn't IV even less than that? Yeah it was.. On Ps3 at least.. 630p or something?

Sure why not:

TV: 26" Full HD TV. Lowry is the brand.

Console: Slim Xbox 360 as I have the other GTA games this gen on the 360.

Location: My bedroom. wink.gif

Speakers: The TV speakers as there is only me and my dad in the house now so I don't need to be worried about making noise.

Bluetooth Mic/Normal Mic: Yes I have these for the 360 and PS3 but don't use them much.

I have a nice 2 seater leather sofa directly across from my TV where I sit.

I also own a Slim PS3 and Wii that are also set up. That's all these is to my gaming set up. tounge2.gif

46" Philips LCD TV @ 60Hz (although, I have been tempted by 120Hz as of late)

Intel i5-2500K @ 4.3GHz (default voltage and a CM 212+, might try for higher)

16GB 1600MHz DDR3

PowerColor 7970 Vortex II @ 1100MHz

Candy Blue PS3 controller via bluetooth

Wireless PS3 headphones

I just bought the 7970 because I'm too damn impatient and couldn't wait like I should have. Anyway, I wonder if I'll be able to run max settings @ 60FPS or if I'll need to upgrade/crossfire my GPU. As for surround sound, with 2 young kids in the house, I never get occasion to use it and just ditched my old JBL setup. The TV speakers and the headphones work fine for my needs.

Of course, I could just play it on the PS3 (launch behemoth 80GB), but I've recently been playing GTAIV on the PC and its such a HUGE difference that I'm not sure I can bring myself to do that. Even if I got it for the PS3, I'd still end up buying the PC version when it eventually came out. However, if both versions come out close together, I'll probably just go the PC route.

I told my wife the PC was primarily for editing her photos! Well, that's how it started anyways but the 7970 might be a little more power than needed to run Photoshop.
