Well, the graphics on PSP are much sharper, and has less bloom. PS2 graphics are much softer, and bloomier. But the best graphics are on this version.

If you turn off the Trails option it will have no bloom.

The PS2 version because the graphics looked better. Can't say that there's something wrong with the PSP version though and it's usually fun playing handeld games.

 

Didn't the PS2 version had some extra features, like stunts and extra missions? Or maybe I'm thinking of another GTA game?

You're right, sir. And I agree, the PS2 version is better IMO. Can't really notice what's the difference between the PSP graphics and the PS2 graphics, they look almost the same to me.

But the PS2 version wins it because of the extra content, I have that version and I'm happy with it. However, during the first times I played it on my PS2 Slim, the game sometimes used to lag a bit and at some point, a "Loading..." message appeared right in the middle of the screen... I'm quite not sure what was going on at that time, but all I can say is that those incidents suddenly stopped happening, and now the game just flows without any problems (I have it 100% completed, no cheats used).

My PS2 version is constantly slowing down when I'm in a fire truck while in a police chase. Or if I'm on foot destroying law enforcement vehicles. I keep thinking it's something to do with the Vice City engine as VCS is built using that engine, if I'm correct? San Andreas doesn't have this issue as it uses its own engine.

psp users have mp and brighter graphics that not fair to ps2 users like me. i dont like dark and gamma boosted vcs. simply the gta3 atmosphere exist in ps2.

The graphics issue is the eternal letdown in all GTA games. I cannot help but wonder: why the hell change the graphics between platforms? Is it so hard to leave them be when porting from one console to another (or on PC)?

I was saying in the GTA V forum last week that it isn't all about graphics but the gameplay so you say its a letdown but really the graphics are not something that get in my way

I prefer PSP over PS2. You can take PSP anywhere with you and also it has a cheatdevice which adds alot of fun.
