Frantz Fuchs Posted September 4, 2012 Share Posted September 4, 2012 (edited) As we all know, (or not) it will be the 15 year anniversary the Grand Theft Auto franchise in October. The first GTA came out on MS-DOS and Windows in October 1997. Rockstar must be planning to do something for its most selling game. 110 Million total copies sold. Add to that the 10 year anniversary of Vice City, I don't think Rockstar will do nothing. This is why I've been saying we'll get trailer #2 at the end of October with a release date. Thoughts? thebig Posted September 4, 2012 Share Posted September 4, 2012 They gave attention to the GTA III 10-year-anniversary, so I think that they'll do that with the GTA VC and the GTA Franchise anniversary. But I don't believe they will give a GTA V trailer at that moment. They'll just make an anniversary trailer. I think they'll already give us information about GTA V in September. I imagine they will mention the annivresary dates and acknowledge the long-standing success of the franchise, but the reasoning behind anything that R* does regarding these upcoming anniversaries will not be due to the fact that another company also celebrated something. CoolDust Posted September 4, 2012 Share Posted September 4, 2012 This is a long shot but I guess its feasible: Killzone was scheduled to hit PSN as a "PS2 Classic" a few months ago but it was put on indefinite hold, just recently a Killzone Trilogy was spotted on the French Amazon which possibly indicates that Killzone has got the HD treatment and thats why they possibly cancelled the "PS2 Classic" PSN release. Why is this relevant? Well GTA III was scheduled to release as a "PS2 Classic"and its seemingly disappeared... Maybe they have decided to give the III era games the HD treatment? Especially on a day when GTA is being celeberated. Hopefully Rockstar thinks this way too. GTA III on mobile phones sold very well so I think they'll might release GTA Vice City for mobile phones with many exclusives like they did last year with the GTA III 10th years anniversary. Maybe they even make some DLCs for GTA Vice City on mobile phones. Who knows! I think this October could be very interesting to all GTA fans. Oh they can, the structure of VC is a lot closer to GTA III, and size wise it could be easily cut down in some areas, it's San Andreas where the real confusion would come in!
