Punk-in-Drublic
Anyone on the forums donning a good beard? I have a fairly decent one shaping up, it started with my girlfriend nagging me to grow one as she's into bearded men, so I thought "what the heck, I'm going to be getting laid more often even if I look like a moron", but when it started to fill out properly it started to grow on me (literally), now I'm even occasionally trimming it and making it look neat and stuff, it's pretty awesome, I can't imagine being clean shaven anymore. I'm tempted to do one of these, but there's so many to choose from, haha.
_iPhaze
My profile has a picture of my beard. I suppose it's basically the "Chin Curtain" on the list. See for yourselfs...

Shiva.
I don't have a beard. Just a small mustache and a lil' hair under my chin (I don't know how they use to call it). So, the pencil?
EscoLehGo
According to your chart there I have a short boxed beard, I'd rather to refer to it as a "why the f*ck not" beard though.

Same here, I'm just leaving it to it's own devices but trimming it when it gets out of control. @ shiva s: I'd call it the "too young to grow facial hair properly"
Chorup
Mines mostly like the chin curtain at the moment, but short. Can't be bothered shaving half the time, so I just got rid of the mo.
Shiva.
@ shiva s: I'd call it the "too young to grow facial hair properly" LOL! Yes, I'm only 16 but that's just a small hair under my chin. But, some of my friends have facial hair.

GTA_stu
I've always wanted to grow a moustache. My facial hair has become a lot thicker and coarser in the last year or so, and now I reckon I'd be able to get a decent one going. Only problem is I'm about 3 decades late, they're just not fashionable anymore and I'd just look like a bell end. I grew the obligatory terrible 16 year old's tache, but that doesn't really count. Seriously if there are any guys on here in their mid teens and you have a moustache, shave it off, it looks awful. One of my friends has got a brother who has one, and he looks like he molests children with that thing on his upper lip.

lil weasel
You forgot the whole class of bald with beard (B&B): Beards (and mustaches) are for Elitists and motorcycle clubs. And people needing to cover facial defects, like no chin.
Zirvlok
*sigh*, I wish I could grow a beard or atleast a decent mustash. I'm 21 and the best I can get is a half assed stash and a little bit of chin hair. What's up with that? I'm really wondering when my facial hair will start to kick in. Actually, is anyone else in the 20+ range with sh*t for facial hair?
Sup3rman
As much as i like having a beard, i really don't like that lon beard types. I try to contain a 5 o clock shadow, looks the best IMO.

trip
According to the chart I have a goatee. A bunch of years ago at work we all grew out the same goatee to jokingly mock our CIO who was growing one. I decided to keep mine. Trimmed to #4 usually. Ferocious Banger
I'm almost 18 and still haven't got a beard going. Anything wrong with me? I mean, I have a coarse hair growth around the..you know it. Also, the armpit hair. But very little facial hair.

Chunkyman
FACT: There is only one acceptable form of facial hair, the mustache. Anything else makes you look homeless. And within mustaches, there are only a few acceptable types. These include... The Burt Reynolds The Conquistador The Magnum P.I. Mustache styles that are NOT acceptable include... Flesh-n-Bone
For me, it keeps growing fast and sometimes I want to let it be but then I get the urge to shave it just when it's truly starting to grow. I prefer the clean look because it's a lot easier but having a beard makes me look more 'mature'.
WF the Hobgoblin
I'm an on and off beard guy, I usually have a beard about two or three times a year. I tend to grow a beard, keep it for a few months then get bored with it and shave it off. Then I shave with hair clippers which leaves a nice constant stubble (hate being clean shaven) for a few months then get fed up doing that and let the beard grow again. I go through a period of liking the beard for a while because it makes me look older, but eventually I get sick of trying to keep it tidy and end up looking like a hobo. Also I don't like the fact that it's ginger when my hair colour is light brown. I can grow a pretty decent moustache but the longest I've kept it is a week. Sometimes I quite liked it, but I felt too self-conscious with it, particularly when I went to the hospital and was having a serious discussion with a surgeon and all I could think was "I must look ridiculous with this stupid f*cking moustache". Two thirds of ZZ top, Barry Gibb, Grizzly Adams, Billy Mays' ghost, San Francisco Giant's closing pitcher Brian Wilson, and the great emancipator Abraham Lincoln all beg to differ. And then they all got together and decided that just having a mustache makes you look like either a rapist or a pedophile or both. Why do you think Lincoln didn't have one. GOOD DAY, SIR. DSMTuner
I have a "chin curtain" and a soul patch. I prefer to trim them, and I hate mustaches so I always shave that off.
Tyler
Chin curtains are loathsome attempts at style, for the most part. Maybe one in one-hundred people could pull it off without looking like a major douchecanoe. Same goes for mustaches, though if you were in the military or past your thirties I think you get a free pass.
GTA_stu
I can grow a pretty decent moustache but the longest I've kept it is a week. Sometimes I quite liked it, but I felt too subconscious with it, particularly when I went to the hospital and was having a serious discussion with a surgeon and all I could think was "I must look ridiculous with this stupid f*cking moustache". About 3 years ago my dad grew a moustache. It was terrible. Some men buy a fancy sports car when they go through a mid-life crisis, but we're too poor for that so he just grew a womb broom instead. Made him look like a f*cking dick, not to mention a pornstar. There was definitely a look of Ron Jeremy about him. I remember one time I came to use the pool at the hotel he works at, and I overheard a colleague teasing him about how "your wife must enjoy a good tickle!". Mortifying. Anyways he shaved it off after a whole f*cking year of that thing attached to him. I was glad to see the back of it. It was all bushy and horrible. Vega LVI
I can grow a really thick beard if I just let it grow out (with a few trims here and there to keep it at ease) that can resemble Jim Morrison's sort of. I don't let it get that thick, but I do let it get to the point where you can consider it to be thick. My girlfriend doesn't really like it when it's too thick, so I'll have to shave it completely. But, if it wasn't for her, I'd just let it grow down to my ankles as I'm one lazy bastard when it comes to shaving. I did try shaving only the beard off and leaving just the mustache, but since I'm blonde I look stupid as all hell. I even tried to mimic my father's goatee, which seemed to make me look twenty years older.

Actually, is anyone else in the 20+ range with sh*t for facial hair? Mine is quite pathetic to some degree. My chin and sideburns grow furiously but can't seem to connect. It's just patchy in the space between. My upper lip is going through the "I want to look like a peado" phase so I get rid of it quite often. The thing is, I look alright with the stubble I have (I'm not a fan of being clean shaved so I just trim), but if I want to grow anything I'd end up looking like I was taking the piss. My dad has always had facial hair of epic proportions and he looks pretty damn cool with it. I feel like I'm failing him for not being able to grow one. GTA_stu
I feel like I'm failing him for not being able to grow one. I can actually grow more hair than my dad lol. The tache and chin is pretty much the only area he gets hair on, whereas I get those areas plus my sideburns and a bit on my cheeks and neck. Mine doesn't connect either, it's been slowly growing towards each other. If/when it finally does connect it's gonna feel like the Golden spike being driven for the Transcontinental Railroad:
