Chukkles
COuld care less means you do care. Because for you to care less you have to be at a point of caring to begin with.Your statement would make more sense with "Couldn't care less" because that means your already at the lowest point of caring and can't care any less for it. English languange: Butchered. Here we go again. Astray once more thanks to Chukkles. If I couldn't care less about it I wouldn't have brought it up. Logic? Derp. No, I care what losers do with their incoherent, unintelligent, diarrhea from the mouth just as long as it isn't so condescendingly directed towards me. So if this is what you meant, you wasted your time writing could and less. Oh yah, people who don't know PC's so well are not retarded inbreed's, they just don't know PC's so well. grandola
I have an alright paying job at a bank and 3500 dollars plus shipping is how much my first PC build is going to cost. I'm not willing to put it on credit so I'm saving the cash for it. So to say someone can easily go buy an expensive gaming PC is a bit overly simplified. Unless you're some rich fat cat or living on mommy and daddy's dime. P.s. I could build a cheaper PC, I know. If you're going to do something u go all out is my motto. You don't have to know computers. I'm saying if you don't like the console graphics, and you don't like the limited number of car models that can spawn at once then get a PC and stop complaining. Rockstar is already doing the best they can with the current gen of consoles so these complaints are completely and utterly fatuous and should be ignored and thoroughly explained to the original complainer why that is. Umm, 900 bucks can build you an amazing rig for gaming and everyday use... Lets not get carried away here. Think of how much time you spend on the computer and then look at how much you're investing. It's worth it. 3,500 bucks though? That's pushing it by a lot. 900 is a sweet spot for a person who really likes gaming and using the computer. Chukkles
TO EVERYONE WHO BITCHED ABOUT MY LOGICAL COMMENT: THE GAME MACHINE MAGAZINE SAID FOR GTA IV PC RELEASE: The other important bit of information is that Rockstar have managed to improve the game streaming, thanks to the power of the CPU in modern PC's. This means less of the "same car syndrome" in which you would see lots of the same car you are driving. The magazine is also claiming that there will be more pedestrians and vehicles visible in the PC version To all you retarded inbreeds who don't understand how computer processing, RAM, and computer graphics work. In order to have models on screen you have to have them cached in working memory (RAM) and the consoles are limited to very little VRAM compared to modern PC's. Also the processing power of the PC in terms of game logic AND computer graphics has increased by several dozen factors since the release of consoles. Enabling more complete and varied graphics than what the 5 year old consoles have to offer. Educate yourself on how hardware works before you make illogical superfluous statements backed by no technological know-how whatsoever. That is pretty clear to me that you are targeting an entire group of people and not just the ones who want it better. I don't fully understand how processing, RAM and graphics work, am I a retarded inbreed??? Besides the base game is no better on the PC in these regards anyway, your entire point is moot. DRN94
Besides the base game is no better on the PC in these regards anyway, your entire point is moot. Look at a screenshot of GTA IV on console and then look at the base game maxed out on PC in 1080p. Huge difference in clarity, sharpness, draw distance, shadow detail and density, texture detail, meshes, number of cars on screen, number of pedestrians, particle effects, anti aliasing, anisotropic filtering, model detail, etc. You'd be surprised how much frames per second make a huge difference in the gaming experience as well. The consoles can only provide a bare bones experience now compared to what a quality PC can deliver. If you are not satisfied with this bare bones experience then get a PC. It's as simple as that. All these complaints I've been hearing is just a massive insult to the hard work Rockstar is already doing and continuing to do. They are doing their best with what the current gen of consoles can physically do and people still aren't satisfied... Expectations are just too irrational with these people. biotch69
lolol! You mad bro? jk but chill. No, I could care less what losers do with their incoherent, unintelligent, diarrhea from the mouth just as long as it isn't so condescendingly directed towards me. For these type of comments is the reason people got pissed off with you, you are right about what you said in your first comment but you don´t need to be an arrogant, so chill out you are not the only one who knows how computer works. Never claimed I was. All I want is for people to think before posting arguments or cheeky insults to everything I say. All I ask. It's unfair to coherently and legitimately answer the OP and then get bombarded with people who don't know RAM from ROM. Dude the only reason people are making "cheeky insults" about everything you say is because of your attitude in your initial comment. You sounded like a smart ass, so now everyone is going to treat you like one. If you don't want people calling you out, maybe you should start speaking with a more respectful tone. The OP never said anything negative about computers, yet your first comment included a direct insult to all console gamers, so don't whine when people bite back. The only point I was making is people who are concerned or unsatisfied with certain things can easily be resolved by getting a PC. All the people complaining about the graphics for example can get a PC and their annoying complaints will be rendered as fatuous as they really are. Rockstar is doing a fantastic job with getting the game to run as good as possible on this gen and there are still ungrateful superfluous complainers making me ashamed to be a GTA fan on this forum. I get red flagged for calling out these people out? You're kidding me right? Listen buddy, I understand your point. I agree that many people on and off this forum complain about about things that can be solved by using a PC vs a console. You are not getting "red flagged" for what you saying. It's how you are saying it. You could have easily told the OP that his annoyances were because of console limitations and if he wanted a better experience then he should invest in a gaming PC.. but instead you started off with a really bitter and annoying lash at anyone who doesn't use a PC. You could have saved yourself all this trouble if you would have calmed down a little, and used a better and more mature tone of voice. What makes me most ashamed to be a GTA fan and even a member of this site, is when I read this: To all you retarded inbreeds who don't understand how computer processing, RAM, and computer graphics work. There is no excuse for that. That's just plain low, and makes you look extremely ignorant.

Raynos
Samsung's Series 9 Retina Display Ultrabook. Retina? If they've really named it that, then heck, they're in for another legal battle. "Retina Display" belongs to Apple, I'm pretty sure they've Trademarked it or are in the process.. OT. Yeah, It'd be nice if they fix the multiple car disease in GTA, although not a great annoyance, it kinda took away from the immersion a bit. I don't see why they cant.. Unless it's there by design? Like an earlier poster said, When you're driving around in a APC, you do not see 20 APCs parked on the road side. Unless of course, "Special Vehicles" are excluded from the re-spawn list? Maybe a better randomiser?

"Retina display" is just a coined term for a display that has a high enough PPI that the human eye can't tell the difference between each pixel at a normal viewing distance. That's all I meant, not that Samsung is calling it that. Also Samsung produces some components that go into building Apple's retina displays so they don't have much room to sue about having high PPI. Raynos
You sure love to double post, dont ya? Retina Display is something that Apple has been using to market their iphones and ipad with High Pixel Count. It is indeed an Apple term. I just did a quick goggle search and Apple are indeed, trying to Trade Mark the term "Retina Display" I'm not trying to start something, just saying, it's better to not use "Retina Display" when talking about products that aren't Apple. It'll get you into the habit so that in future, you won't look like the elephant in the room? An Apple fanboy would just tear you apart. Samsung Series 9 WQHD (Wide Quad High Definition) Ultrabook. K^2
First of all, console vs PC flames end now. I don't care who started it. I'll personally make sure that anyone who continues this will get temped. You find a car. You get in it. And then you begin to see the same car you're in more often. Why do they code the game like that? Only vehicles currently loaded in memory can be spawned, and only a certain number of vehicle models are in memory at any one time. If you are driving a vehicle, it has to be loaded, hence, it is always one of relatively few car models that can be spawned. This can be somewhat improved. There are things you can do to make sure that if it's a rare car you are driving, it does not become excessively common. And they did improve it from GTA III to IV, and perhaps, we will see new improvements. It's also true that this limitation is related to the amount of memory available. However, PC version runs higher resolution textures, so while the number of vehicles loaded in memory can be increased somewhat, on a mid-range machine, you are still going to have this problem. This is a fairly fundamental limitation of hardware and software for an open world game. There are ways to get around it with radically different engine, but that too would come with a lot of costs attached. This particular annoyance is here to stay in GTA V for both PC and consoles, and most likely, for any GTAs on future generations of consoles and PC hardware. Prior to filing a bug against any of my code, please consider this response to common concerns.
2491cc
The consoles are limited to a very small amount of RAM and the amount of data needed to cache and spawn and display multiple types of cars makes it very hard to get more than a handful of car models to appear at once on the current gen of consoles. Don't like it? Build a PC and join the 21st century. Until then you'll have to deal with your 5 year old calculators. PC gaming is for people who have no life, and have never had sex. BlackNoise
This is something I've never understood. If I drive a rare/unique vehicle like a Hotring or NRG(GTA SA) for example, this problem doesn't happen. I've always assumed R* just didn't care about this problem, because it seems like it would be an easy fix. Why can't they just write a code that tells the game, "don't spawn the vehicle the player is currently driving"? Or "don't spawn more than ...". It must not be a priority, which is understandable, because it's not even close to being a big deal.

In our house we had a rule that nagging, screaming or rude kids don't get listened to. OT: I guess it's partly due to technical limitations, partly a design decision. I get the reasoning behind it, but they can leave it out, imo. When my car explodes I don't need the exact same car back, and being forced to drive a sh*tty ride for a while just adds to the experience. It should also make me more careful with a car I like, knowing I can't just get it back by jacking the guy behind me. What annoyed much more, was that sometimes you couldn't find any car, or just the same 2 or 3 (crappy) ones... I don't know if that's a bug, or a memory limitation (always seems to happen after heavy action), but it sucks.
