Why do they code the game like that? I heard a story about why they do it but I can't find it and I'm not sure why... Anybody know why they code they cars this way? I've played a few games where the traffic was very diverse and it was rare to see two of the same cars in the same lane. I seriously doubt it's because of "console limitations". Not just in 4... because R* (DMA not included) has always been coding with consoles in mind. they are aware of the limitations of these systems and build around them. I wouldn't mind an optional official patch for the PC version that fixes this issue but it's not R* themselves who code the PC port so i don't know if that'll happen. In order to have models on screen you have to have them cached in working memory (RAM) and the consoles are limited to very little VRAM compared to modern PC's. Enabling more complete and varied graphics than what the 5 year old consoles have to offer. The only point I was making is people who are concerned or unsatisfied with certain things can easily be resolved by getting a PC. All the people complaining about the graphics for example can get a PC and their annoying complaints will be rendered as fatuous as they really are. Rockstar is doing a fantastic job with getting the game to run as good as possible on this gen and there are still ungrateful superfluous complainers making me ashamed to be a GTA fan on this forum. Obviously people care if they don't understand why the game is limited to being able to only spawn a handful of different cars at a time. The only way to explain why it's the best Rockstar can do is by explaining how hardware and software relates to what games can physically accomplish on this generation of console hardware.
