gtabwoy
hey folks, This problem is very unexplainable. Everywhere I go in LC, the buildings and roads and all that dissapere (They eventually pop back up). I'd show you guys some pics, but I can't seem to put them on paint. help is appreciated. gtabwoy
Miro
Where have you got the game from? Do you have any mods installed? Has this bug happened from the beginning or it just happened out of the blue? Try using memrestrict. If that doesn't work, try installing the GTA IV Patch 1.0.7.0. Also, to save a picture in Paint, simply Print Screen it and then paste it in Paint. I'm not sure but I suppose this is how it works. mkey82
Sometimes printscreen drops a black image, you can use fraps or some similar program instead.

gtabwoy
hey guys. sorry for the late post. I can't seem to post my image on a post. anyone know how? Edited September 8, 2012 by gtabwoy
Miro
If you have your picture on the desktop, go to imgur, click Computer, find, select and click your picture and click then Start upload. Wait until it's uploaded, then the link from the Direct Link filed is copy pasted on the forum between IMG tags to enable it. mkey82
I hope you're not forcing too high settings. You should aim at medium. Try using memrestrict.
gtabwoy
The commandline helped the problem. Thanks. Now is there any way to reduce lagging and stuttering?
mkey82
Have you tried lowering the settings?
gtabwoy
Yes I have except the screen resolution.
mkey82
That system should run the game decently on medium, however no one can really guarantee a thing like that. Lower the shadow quality and density settings, those are usually most taxing. Which command line switches are you using?
gtabwoy
The shadows were off. I never saw a shadow density. I'm using nomemrestrict and norestrictions for commandline swiches.
mkey82
Those commands don't promote game stability. Use memrestrict. The setting may be night shadows.
gtabwoy
my night shadows are also off.
