After the screenshots was released, all threads have low views, low comments, nothing new and interesting to discuss anymore. The fourm just seem so dead to me And I don't like it! School is starting so many people here must be in college (some colleges start near the end of August) 2. Sometimes I feel they are too quick to lock threads just because they get heated. I was in a thread recently that was locked, but at the same time some idiot members were the cause of it too. You watch, Rockstar will release a few more screens, and suddenly people will spend hours analysing every pixel, again, finding hidden release dates out of a tree. Besides it's better when it's quiet, you can actually have a discussion rather than people randomly posting everywhere and never checking back to see if someone replied. Definitely the best thing on this forum, you can actually discuss, go to most other forums.and nobody knows everyone and most threads are only 3-4 posts long before they get replaced. A few of the latest screeshots (the river scenes) were gorgeous and the other screens were exciting at first and got us going for a while. But I will assert that the big long info drought put the forum off balance and burned out or turned off many people. I compulsively check the forum every day, but as was said, the topics are just getting recylced and we have distilled about everything we can out of the screenshots, which by the way are becoming more self-consciously cinematic, i.e. some publicist at Rockstar showing off how he can create the appearance of classic action scenes from video game machinima - not a good trend, in my opinion. Because the topics were just rehashing, I eventually just found myself with less compulsiomn to reply and to replay the responses I have already written in past months. I think that same effect has finally happened to a lot of the people here. So, where we stand now, is that we still don't know Rockstar's GTAV publicity timeline, we don't know when new info will come or how informative it will be. We are in a strange eternal limbo. CONCLUSION: The sad thing is that Rockstar marketing will probably learn the wrong lesson from this and starve us some more. They are probably saying to each other, "Geez, we finally gave those litte snots some more info, some great screenshots, some new settings, and it just killed the forums. It just goes to show, we should have continued our very successful GTAV Campaign of Silence strategy. Well, we will go back to that strategy noiw.
