DLCs are just rip-offs, because the things they are including in them are on the same technical standard like when the game was built. R* has shown, unlike almost every other videogame company, that DLC is not simply extra clothes or a new shiny gun, but rather a separate, complete experience that was developed and created largely after the original content was. Undead Nightmare, TBoGT, LatD were all fabulous narratives within a large expansive world that R* created, and they were well-priced for the amount of content they offered. The only problem with DLC specifically with GTA is the division between the DLC MP crowd and the OC MP crowd, but that could be fixed easily by making less substantial changes in MP with DLC release, and have everyone play from the same lobby, regardless. If they do DLCs - or more like: Add-Ons - in the style of these for IV, then yes. I would pay for it which will be worth its money since it's almost like a new game with new story, contents etc.. Content already in the game that get unlocked.. well then, I won't be please but since It's GTA, I'd still buy it. EFLC were examples of excellent DLC's. Something like that got my vote. If it's some cosmetic items, then I probably wouldn't get it since I can download free mods . Unless we're talking about EA, most DLC is developed AFTER the games release and simply adds more content to the game so it doesn't get stale. Durden Posted September 3, 2012 Share Posted September 3, 2012 The poll options make no sense The game will definately come complete. Its just extra, so that you can keep actively playing the game. I'm really sick of all the bitches well, ...bitching! You get what you pay for. Almost makes me wish there was no DLC so we can go back to the pre-historic days of PS2 where there were no patches/updates/DLC. Then you'd be complaining that the game doesn't have a lasting appeal. The only time I concur with your feelings towards DLC are when its disc-locked from day 1. But even then its usually not bad -- they give you exactly what you expected in the main game. I don't mind paying for that sort of content really, £20 for both IV episodes isn't a bad price when you're getting more content with both of them than you get in a lot of stand alone games, and it lets R* develop and release the full game and then work on the DLC, being able to add in more features which might have delayed the standard game. I'm not keen on just new weapons or multiplayer maps though, I'd rather the developers just got down to developing new games than just a few little extras, especially when it can be £5 or something for them. This right here is what I'm talking about... This is a very ignorant statement. Others have already said in here what I wanted to say on the matter. To think that you would have gotten Lost and Damned, Ballad of Gay Tony, with all its missions, stories, vehicles, weapons and other extra content from GTAIV's original release is stupid. As for this poll, it makes no sense. I am assuming "No, I want a full game" is made out of the same kind of ignorance in thinking that somehow you'll get all the DLC on the game's original release date.
