People will buy it for their favorite console because they can't wait for a PC release, which most likely hasn't even been announced at that point, and end up buying the PC version for the perdier graphics and modifications at a later date. Two copies sold. Double up on the revenue. That's how these things work.

Console for me. Knowing Rockstar they will give PC a bad port.

Because companies don't learn their mistakes, because Max Payne 3 was their best PC game ever in terms of optimisation. I'm quite sure GTA V will follow Max Payne's steps. We'll see.

@Freezer89 And about GTA and GTA 2 don't count for GTA, that's like saying PS2 and XBOX are no longer consoles since they're from another generation.

 

Like it or not, GTA franchise is established in October 1997 on PC. Have you ever thought of why Rockstar decided to continue to use the same IP for their 3D renditions and such, I think that's because GTA franchise has been well known enough since 1997.

I refuse to purchase the PS3 version due to the extremely long Install times and God Awful porting of the games due to the system's weak hardware.

I picked both because I'll be able to play it on ps3 on launch day. Im guessing pc launch will be a little later so i'll use that time to upgrade my pc. I'm sure as it stands my pc will not be able to run gta v at the settings I want not to even mention with graphic mods. Just hope it's better optimized this time. gta iv ran completely on the processor it seemed like. :-(

No he didn't, he stated his opinion "I think" is a given everyone thinks, everyone has an opinion, nobodY needs to state that before each opinion, just simply state the opinion.

 

Rockstar looks to be going in a better direction in terms of PC, look at Max Payne 3. Simultaneous releases can only be beneficial.
