pc or console version?

Meh, I will stick with the consoles like I have been doing for years. I love the mods and what not I see with the PC versions. However, its not that important to me, as I am more than comfortable with the consoles.

PC, even if I ain't really in the Graphics/Mods thing (unless it's one of those must have mods). The only reason is that i can't enjoy playing games with 25-30 fps. If consoles would have 40+ fps that would be great.

console. I started out GTA on the PC with GTA 1 and 2 but since GTA III it has been strictly console. I totally get PC gaming, the freedom to use mods and tweak the game however you want but it's not for me. I am just not a computer oriented person and definitely will not pay tons of money for a gaming quality PC. It's just way simpler for me to just get the console version.

Same as with IV, just bought it for PC few weeks ago. Been playing it with console from the start.

Or you could simply use a controller like me! I play most games that support controllers (99% of games today) with my PS3 controller as I don't have the PC receiver for the 360 one. Plus I just plug an HDMI cable from my laptop into the TV and I'm off and playing on a big ass screen.

 

Seriously hoping R* releases the PC version at the same time as the console one.

Getting it for PC and Xbox 360, the PS3's controllers are so bad my thumbs starts to hurt after a few minutes.

Ill get the 360 version and later on the PC version for the better graphics, but i'll still play that with a controller and not nearly as much as the console version.

 

I still think PC is going to release 6-12 months apart from the console version anyway, so it's a pointless debate.

Yeah there was a poll like this a month or so ago on GTAV.net but I don't think that included the option for "both".

Which is a good indication of how some people are eager to turn to war mongering whenever this subject is brought up - a mentality I've never understood. It might be due to the fact that I own a 360 and PS3 both, and a quite potent PC.

 

I have a console and PC copy of all GTA games from III up through IV/EFLC. There's bound to be more people like me, who will just get whichever is released first. If they were to release the game for all platforms at the same time, I'm sure it would end up hurting sales of the console version.

 

EDIT: Oh, and I think I'll go with the 360 version, as the triggers on the controller are much nicer to use when driving than the ones on the DS3.

While I believe we'll have to wait a few months more for the PC version, I still prefer playing GTA on the PC and will be buying it for PC alone. I've always liked the controls better, and the better graphics and mods don't hurt either.

Console it is for me. It feels weird to play a GTA game on anything but a PS3 for me.

 

I have III/VC/SA for PC but just can't get into it. Plus, my computer won't be able to handle GTA V. Maybe I'll buy it for PC when I get a new computer. I'd like to try some mods out

PC versions are horribly ported sure, (Its a known fact), BUT that can be leveled and forgotten with awesome mods like ENB series, Icenhancer, Total conversions, etc.

 

 

Console versions are good cause there fully optimized for the system. You always know it will work. All you gotta do is buy your console and game without spending an unnecessary fortune on horribly insanely overpriced $2000 graphics cards.

 

 

 

 

 

Im by default a Console Player because 1998 was my intro to gaming, and my first system was a Sony Playstation 1 with Spyro The Dragon. But i recently became interested in PC gaming.

Yes your right it can be done but its not like on consoles imo. The PC didn't have that feeling , when GTA IV was released on consoles I brought it on the first day not even thinking about the PC version that came out like 8 month's later...

PC, IMO gta is the best on PC, especially the graphics. Ill get my new build by the time the game comes out. Its great on consoles to but im a PC gamer.

Console for initial play(since they never parallel launch GTA for PC and Consoles)

I just realized that zzcool is the guy with all those awesome youtube videos, Good Job dude! Some of your videos really encouraged me to get GTA IV on PC.

GTA is and always will be a console game.

 

I remember playing GTA London on PS1, GTA III VC SA on PS2, GTA IV on 360.

 

Not to mention the PC versions are ported from the consoles. The controls suck unless you use a controller.

Seeing as how I dont have a PC I will be buying this for PS3.

 

PC's are too much hassle for me, you just cant beat the convenience of a console! Pop the game in and play.
