a mixture of both, not too ridiculous yet not too realistic, just make it so the game makes sence when it needs to but give players enough tools to do insane sh*t because that's what GTA is about and vanilla GTA IV had a lack of it, fortunatly the DLC's made it a lot better, i basically want that for GTA V just with more and more stuff, and since we are in SA again theres just so manyyy possibilitys and so much fun to be had

I wasn't really into Luis's story but the missions were fun. I was really into niko's story but the missions were dull. A mix of both would be good. Realistic well written story with fun varied missions.

Actually nerds are the one that play fantasy games like RPG and etc.

Judging someone by the games they play does not reflect on someone being a "nerd". I could call you a nerd because you eat peanut butter. Is that fair?

THese debates are so lame.. the two don't have to exclude each other. You have all these different friends and mission givers in the game, so they could easily range from more serious to outright insane. I really don't see why every debate has to come down to two choices, yes or no, left or right, white or black. How about 3, 4, 5, 10, 15 different options for change. It may shock you, but not everything is the US presidential election.

 

The game could be realistic, as in no jetpacks, but still be comedic. Or realistic as in the way a movie action scene is realistic, or realistic in the sense that a hollywood action scene can't happen in real life. And there's over the top, as in the idiocy on this forum sometimes, or as in the idiocy in SR3 or the over the top of Crackdown which was pretty cool. Or over the top as in the last Rambo flick, which some could consider realistic as well..

 

It's a good thing y'all are not on the GTA V design team.

That's why I added a "Both" option.

rendering the poll pretty much useless because you know everybody's gonna just go for that option.

I want IV with jetpacks, Hydras and other crazy stuff. I want the story to be like IV's, but every now and then you should have a mission where you have to do something crazy.

I personally consider myself a nerd and am proud of it, for we live in the first time in history that if we do not familiarize ourselves with the technology at hand, then we will be left behind in a life surround by an exponential growth of technology that everyone around us uses and learning to use them from scratch would be impossibly difficult. I tell you h'wat.

If it has the awexome detail of GTA IV in the surrounding environment and a bit more relaxed gameplay in terms of car/player customization I'll be happy.

 

Actually Sleeping Dogs is probably the best example of this. It has arcadish gameplay without being moronic like Saints Row yet the detail and tone are down to earth like GTA IV. It's easily one of if not the best non-R* sandbox games I've ever played because in so many ways it gives me that feeling I get in GTA IV, but it's a completley different style all together.

I'd like it to be both. Sometimes I would be playing just having a stand-off with the cops, while using my RPG. but when I actually play the game for real I will be realistic, obeying traffic laws, eating, etc, (at least until I blow people's brains out in missions ). While getting into a gunfight though I won't use cheats to use an RPG.

This will be the first game I play through ALL of it realistically, not stealing cars, walking instead of running to do every thing.

Doing an over the top GTA just wouldn't work. So I chose realistic. Though I wouldn't mind if there are some little unrealistic elements in it like the jetpack again?
