New people now can't place or break blocks at all, but they can PvP. This is just how it will have to be until/if we set up a newbie zone again, I'm sure we can scope if they are griefers or not by how they act on the server and people can give them food if they need it. It at least means the server will be safe when no mods are online and if they really want to stick around they can be put in player group. GTAF players just have to post here and they will be added.

 

/spawn is enabled so you can teleport to spawn. It's a little bit 'unsurvival' but it quite handy and it'll be the only warp we have for a long while to keep people at least a little bit close to the central area.

 

I enjoy living in the community cave for the most part, but I think we could make a really nice little town out of the plains area.

A city was a big part of the last map, though, so some might not be quite up to building another one just yet.

 

If you really want to start one, go for it. I'll help build roads I'm also curious in having a utility system under the roads.

On the griefing, i was there when the sheep were set free and i must commend the people that helped get them back in the pen. I know i helped but i cant remember anyone else.

 

Plus i have an educated guess as to who freed the sheep. I believe it may have been that Jigsaw dude. He was trying to grief me by placing cobblestone inside my mine and i believe he was around the sheep pen seeing as when i got to the scene he was there and no one else was around.

 

Just my general assessment. Dont like pointing fingers but it gets quite annoying when people try to f*ck sh*t up for sh*ts and giggles.

My bed is also broken. It was working until that dumbf*ck rewas took my bed. Now it won't work anymore.

Beds are borked. It's something to do with one of our core plugins that has homes as part if it, where you set your home by sleeping in a bed and using /home teleports back to it. Well I assume that is what is causing it since it's the only thing related. It could actually be a bukkit bug since we're still on a development build. I will look into it tomorrow as I won't be online much longer.

I was the one who original noticed the sheep jumping the fence and I tried getting the attention of someone to help, but I forgot who they were. It was insane walking out of the front gate and seeing dozens of multicolored sheep running about.

 

Good job to everyone who helped getting them back. I probably could of helped more if I had a lead instead of trying to push them. Although we kinda lost them all again once the two other guys came in and started griefing.

Whether it's The General criticizing people criticizing FTB, or you telling everyone to get over it, or anyone else saying anything else, you all were unwilling to even compromise. It had to be your way, or nothing. Yeah, i'm a little pissed that what I was working on for nearly a year was wiped and is nothing but a single player map that simply just exists. Ryan has every right to be as well.

 

You guys couldn't find anything to do, you'd cheated, found loopholes, broke the game for yourselves and then demanded a fresh start. It's not our fault you guys had no self control. It's not our fault you couldn't build without the perks, couldn't adventure without your Xweapons and Xtools. Sure, i had creative and I had Xtools but I was building a playground, i wasn't building for the sake of building. I always had something to do, and I always could find something to do. Your lack of creativity should not hinder the creativity of others.

 

I'm sorry, I didn't have internet the whole time this argument/feud/whatever was going on, and it's been twisting my cherries not having a voice in the matter.

 

That being said, whatever, what's done is done. I'm not going to say I'm never going to play on the server again, because I really love playing with you all. I'll build things here and there. But I'm not undertaking anymore massive projects, not when I know it's only a matter of months before I have nothing to show for the ridiculous amount of free time I've spent on this game.

Regardless how attached you are to the old map, (this coming from a multi-world proponent), you cannot deny that we have tripled our average activity by switching to a new map, and in the end, that's the most important thing.
