i take it you have tried closing mc down fully, and make sure you wait for the connection strength and amount of players to show up before attempting to join the server!

hey Fireguy, are you alright with me making Hud's old "skyscraper" taller in the city? I hear you finished off the top when he left it incomplete after being banned, but I think it'd make the city look better if it was taller.

This random killing thing needs to calm down a bit I think. It's ok when you're doing it to each other and it's a bit of fun, but if you're just going to go up to someone and do it then it's just creating more drama than it's worth. People are starting to moan about it on the server, of being killed and stuff being taken and not returned etc. And if Kal's post is anything to go by, then it's obvious he was fed up of it but probably felt he couldn't say anything/nothing would be done. There has been many a time where I've had to spawn items because people have lost them in the process as well. This game isn't meant to be this serious and we're all just trying to have a bit of fun and build; but literally everyone has high powered weapons now, so unless there is a genuine reason (which I can't think of a single one, at the moment, to do it at random) then let's cool it just a bit or we'll have to turn off PvP.

 

(and no, this doesn't apply to people who are always doing it to each other since they can take it and it's friendly banter, I'm talking about people who are always targeted for no particular reason other than being annoying, which isn't a good enough reason at all, or those that are obviously unhappy about it.)

 

re: hoppers, I will check whether there has been fix for Lockette to stop the exploitation, but until then they will have to stay turned off. I can place any in the mean time if you really need them.

Go right ahead. I wasn't sure anybody'd be working on it ever so I just wanted it to look finished enough that it could pass for a complete building. If you want to improve it go right ahead. There's a room under the stairs with all Hud's building materials, I'll add you to the chests so you don't have to waste too much of your own stuff.

Took over work on Kal's Empire State today. Spent quite a long time working on it and while it may not look like I've done much, I've actually spent a long time re-proportioning it to fit within the height limit (meaning, lowering each ledge slightly). A fairly meticulous task.

Why are you leaving Kal?

For several reasons:

 

One - Me being killed over and over again, when I haven't even done anything wrong most of the time. I just get killed for no reason.

 

Two - Most of the time, actually all of the time, on the server I'm just running in circles, doing absolutely nothing, as I have nothing to say, nothing to build, nothing to do, and if I'm not doing that, then I'm just being killed or just having the chat open, but not saying anything.

 

Three - Because of GunWrath joining the server, idiotic reason, I know.

That's the launcher or wrong thing? I don't know. I play Minecraft on Xbox, never played it on PC.

That's the correct launcher GunWrath. Make sure that your firewall isn't blocking you from connecting to the server.

Right another 3 things to try.

 

Try connecting by Login into your account on minecraft net and play within your browser.

 

Try powering off your router for 3 mins take power cables out.

 

Locate your .minecraft folder and delete the hole thing then start process all over again.

 

Oh and make sure you have the most uptodate java installed.

Thanks man, it was good of you to finish it to some degree nevertheless. It looked awful when it was just sat there blatantly incomplete before you did your work on it.

 

Anyway, I began work on this today making it taller and it's already twice as high as it was originally. Not sure how high I'm going to make it; it's a pretty mind numbing build task to say the least. And half blocks piss me off. Might just keep going till I run out of stone half blocks in Hud's chests. There's around a whole doublechest of them left at the moment.

Exterior is pretty much finished. Just got to get all the floors in now, which is probably going to take a decade and a half.

The Empire State is just something I've built 2 times, but as I left (came back now, due to boredom) OTB built the rest. I'm not sure if he's still working on it though!
