I don't think I can keep watching. @Microsoft Takeover: I don't know what a Microsoft takeover would even mean. The company has one IP. A wip IP that's probably approaching market saturation until they figure out how to make vanilla MC accept alternative launchers to bring the glory of better mods to all. I don't see why Microsoft, a company in a battle with itself whether to ditch the entire Xbox entertainment division, would want to add another entertainment property. But then I guess I'm not a corporate big whig and as some have pointed out MC2, if it ever comes out, might be a significant leap forward from where we are now. Is there a new map and people playing normally or on creative blah blah re 1.8, or are we still at the 'patch changover' and on a map that is living its final days? Don't want to join and end up building something on a map that's dead & about to be restarted from scratch. On one hand I think "maybe we'll get updates more than once a year and better server support" and on the other hand I'm like "f*ck Microsoft, f*ck Notch" E: Server was down, it is back up now. I don't think it'll be as bad as some of the cynics but I could easily see MC2 turning into a Xbox/PC exclusive. I am still unsure whether I'll go Mac or PC next time around (is 6 years of life good? Kirsty Posted September 18, 2014 Author Share Posted September 18, 2014 Well since we have no mods there is no border, so you don't have to go far to get the new ores. That's why I kept it so close before so that when 1.8 released we could stay on the same map and have an area beyond that red border for the new blocks. The only way to have them spawn naturally is to either move the main spawn area or start a fresh map. At this point, with the activity, I don't mind either way.
