Has anyone seen the new world customisation options that Mojang have put in the new snapshot?

 

Some really cool stuff, like picking what biomes you want and various other customisation stuff. They've also added a proper world border for anyone that wants it, so instead of using glass or something, it's an actual border; so maybe we could use that when we get the old map back, stop people from running away :p

Yeah I've. It's a nice start but I would really like the ability to choose witch blocks spawn up in place of other blocks so I can make custom biomes. I think that's a long way off though.

Just tried this in singleplayer and it's actually pretty cool. Border will be useful for us on maps and is a nice animation, and I just tried one of the presets for the custom biomes called mountain madness or something and it's stunning! A lot like amplified but not as processor intense. We'll have to enable it on the server later.
E: we should totally move this topic over to Gang Chat and work on making GTAFMC an official group :p

Not at the moment. It's down for maintenance.

 

I've got most of the plugins back on, but there was a delay because there was a start-up error which resulted in a few fresh installs of the server because it wasn't getting fixed. There's some important plugins to put back on so it'll be back up tomorrow :^:

The weather? you mean like the icons by the clock? Yeah that can stay. The bubbles make it too messy though when there's lots of chat going on, it can't keep up.
