It'll have to stay offline until tomorrow unfortunately, needs Andrew to sort it out. I promise never to breed villagers ever again ... my thought was to get it going just big enough to create iron golems that I could harvest for their iron ingots but I think it got out of hand ... Honestly, it may not have been the villager farm. As far as I know from my limited server experience, they should not have been using up the server if no one was in the chunk, and the only people who were on were at spawn or south of it. The server was running perfectly the day before as well. From my encounter with the farm, it seemed as soon as I left the chunk the performance was fixed. Therefore, it's possible it was something else causing the problem. Even if it was the farm, don't blame yourself. The thing was f*cking impressive, and I don't know about you but I got a crapload of emeralds off the villagers. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

No word on when it'll be back, unfortunately. In a similar line of inquiry, no word on the next Bukkit Recommended Release yet either. I really think it might be best if we just saved everything and then updated to the Beta 1.4.5, because there's been nobody on lately. Which means we have nothing at all, the map as it was has gone completely, all plugins, configs the lot... Gone. I'll try and get some functionality back online soon. Sounds great. I know almost everyone here prefers survival, but as long as I've been playing Minecraft, I've gotten to the point now where resource gathering is usually just too much effort for me. I'll be sure to pop in and try building something. Are there any snowy regions on the current map? I was hoping to make some sort of Christmas cabin once the server went back up. I found a Temple in a nearby Village, climbed to the bottom and there was a chest with at least 40 gold bars and 16 diamonds... Too bad huh? 860 Posted December 12, 2012 Share Posted December 12, 2012 Just upped my RAM from 1 gig to 2 gigs and got Optifine. Minecraft is finally playable again. This is a ten year old computer with a new graphics card and some more RAM. Still going strong. So yeah, when you got the new map up I'll definetly join in again. Really it's more of a zoo, but I plan on adding a wing of paintings and item frames (if it's still standing when I get back ). I even managed to catch a spider jockey and lure it in. What are the odds? Sadly, the mobs will despawn, but it looks cool while it lasts. There's so much stuff I can't wait to do on the 1.4.5 server.
