I always am disappointed with the water, and it's usually the first thing I notice. I wish for glitter on the water, and waves at the beach. GTA IV fell very short in terms of water. RDR on the other hand blew me away. I would just stand there looking at the rivers. Don't even get me started with that picture perfect waterfall. I just wished i wouldn't die as soon as I swam in it. With the new batch of GTAV screenshots, the one with the plane and the glittering water caught my eye. It looked absolutely AMAZING. on top of that, waterfalls as well? And you can SWIM IN IT!!! I was and still am so pumped. Think of driving a jet-ski off a waterfall! I don't think rockstar could have made that water look more perfect. This gets me thinking that maybe Waves will be in the game. Not just rising and falling water, but legit waves that crash and knock you over. My mind is running with cool things to do in the water and I want to hear some of your ideas. What do you want to do? I agree with you that the water looks amazing. It's perfect at all for a open-world game. By the way that's the first Grand Theft Auto with running water and waterfalls. Ahhhhhh the loooooong swim. Yah that was always a huge pain. But it was also fun flying someone out into the water and crashing it miles away so they had to swim back. But it would definately be better if there was a Warp to shore. On another note, Boats in GTA IV didn't take damage as far as I remember. wwinterj Posted August 26, 2012 Share Posted August 26, 2012 Water adds a few things. The main one been realistic but it could also be used for mini games such as jet ski racing, surfing and so on. The waves would work when surfing. Other than that it would be good for collectable finding if we can dive under the water. Also swimming as a way to evade cops. But GTAIVs water was completelly see through too, i mean visit the happiness island and look at the water around it...beautiful rocks are seen through the water. Nah the water looks better than IV imo. But yeah, it's so clear the reflections are much bwtter than IV and IV already had nice reflections. Hunting sounds fair enough, but adding the ability to skin animals and things like that doesn't sound good to me. It made sense in RDR but it's unneeded here.
