Wayne Daniels
The fire in San Andreas was really cool how it had the fire propagation, then came IV and there wasn't any at all(off topic the lcfd doesn't even put out the fire), then Red Dead Redemption the fire was even worse than IV(visually as well) I would really love to see it done properly this time around, with wind speed effecting how it reacts ect, kind of like Far Cry 2, but that's probably going asking too much, or is it? Trund
Yeah it was really nice in GTA SA, lots of fun actually. But then again GTA SA was really poor graphically, so it was really easy to add random fires since it didn't exactly have to look good at all. In a game like GTA V you'd have to include realistic looking fire, and even then it would look a little awkward if you have HD Textures and high quality graphics, and all you see are fires but no damage and nothing at all. So I don't think it's going to be included. I could see people complain that the fire does no damage and whatsoever. But maybe something like that will be possible in the future, I'd like to see it at least.

jdv95
Would be a great feature => Escaping a forest in fire with a Sanchez that would be very nice as a part of a mission where you unlock the 2nd or 3rd part of the map

Severe
Someone mentioned in another thread, that a forest-fire might be how they'll seal off parts of the map. There have been a lot of wildfires quite close to LA in the recent years, so it doesn't seem an unreasonable way to do it. Either way, I can't imagine forest fires not being referenced at all. I'd also really like, as a random event, coming across a house on fire, with fire-fighters arriving and all that.

HoboDealer
As long as fires build up well and the firemen actually show up and tackle it, then I'm happy. Regardless of how graphically impressive it looks. GTA IV was too disappointing with fire.

goh13
Chainsaws are the best. Hopefully we get to see some good blood effects in GTA V and maybe the return of chainsaws. OT: I am ok with how fire looks in RDR. Not the best but it gets the job done. Hopefully we get more fire related weapons this time.

AtomicPunk
It could be fun to start a big fire while you have a fire truck, then fight to put it out. I'm actually playing FarCry 2 this week and I like that feature.

For the same reason people want to kill peds in this such beautiful city i guess. Or maybe because it could add an epic mission.

Forest fires will, after a fire you have black burned out trees left in-game otherwise it would be impossible. Maybe a great mission to play but with a less great aftermath. I agree in a mission it would be amazing but outside of that one mission! It would be a little silly!

Dont want to be unable to go in the forest, fields or mountain cause of a f*cking ped who forgot to put out his cigarets lol
Kifflom112
I'd love fire from SA really. I remember I could accidently throw a molitav if CJ's house and that sh*t lit up fast all the way up to the second floor. Then I was in a forest and lit a small flame, the fire was burning and moving for like 30 minutes, V should be the same, if your car is on ground and burning the fire should spread. When a car explodes it should start smaller fires in the directly surrounding areas!
kid23455
San Andreas and Far Cry 2 had the same problem with fire, it spreads for a little bit then it all just mysteriously disappears. I want fire that will spread forever, and burn the entire countryside down.

I think you played a different game fire wasn't that long-lasting in SA. Yes it was, why don't you go to that house in northern San Andreas, the weird looking one off the highway, light a small flame in the fireplace and that fire continues for a long time.
