September brings trailer number two and the game releases march 2013.

Well just like "a few months" we have no idea what rockstar actually means by this. There are only two things we can infer

 

1. They said weeks, if they meant longer than 8 weeks they would have said months.

 

2. They are obviously getting the marketing campaign rolling, so theres a good chance that we wont be waiting 9 month increments any more

i'm more intrigued by 'more to see'. Why that rather weird sentence? Why not say "we'll have more screens in a couple of weeks" or "more to come in the next few weeks, or so."?

I guess that means a trailer or site update.

Context is everything. Dissecting a sentence like you did could give their statement a whole new meaning. If you read everything they said, it CLEARLY states more SCREEN SHOTS are to come in the following weeks. Nothing else. That sentence is not weird; it's very clear and concise.

 

You're being led by your emotions rather than logic. You want something other than just screens. You want some amazing new trailer and information, but what you fail to realize is their statement ONLY says one thing: more screen shots to come.

anyway if you think i'm just reacting emotionally, you haven't been paying attention to my other posts. I know it would sum up 90% of this forum pretty neatly, but not me.

I'm not given to posting long speculative threads, but simple logic.. and so far my simple logic seems to match Rockstar's quite well

I really hope not (minus the last part). It's been fun looking at the new screens as they've released em the past couple weeks, but I'm pretty sick of screens now at this point. I hope "in a few weeks or so" they'll give us a little more substance than just more still shots.

R* doesn't go by silly theories. The 9:12 thing was pure coincidence, as you saw today it was before 9:12. It was always slightly past 9am because that's most likely the time they start working.

 

They will release a trailer and more information WHENEVER they want to, it can be tomorrow, in a week, a month, a year.....

I suggest that we're not too far from a release. R* wouldn't have shown a trailer if the game was more than a year away.

The only thing that has changed is, that R* isn't giving out early release dates anymore, which in my opinion is a GOOD thing, because with all other games so far the first mentioned release date always had to be delayed.

Sorry, but your statement is nothing than wrong. These screens and trailers and anything they announced or will announce are most probably uploaded to their servers hours ago before they will officially be revealed. So just a little if-clause will check if the time they want it to be shown is already reached, if so we can see the material, if not we don't. Imagine they would upload the trailer and a mistake was made during the upload like people could see only the half of it or any other film. That would be a mistake which could not be corrected after the action.

I doubt that the screenshots were uploaded to the servers hours ago. The things that are uploaded aren't from the developers anyways, there's an art team at R* that does these things. They probably received all the pictures days ago from the developers, most likely they even received a bunch of pictures and chose the best ones to upload.

Also, as you could see the direct links for the images worked minutes before they were officially posted, which also proves that they were uploaded just at that moment.

 

Fact is, that the pictures today weren't uploaded at 9:12am, which completely destroys the weird 9:12 theory.

"A few" means more than 2 otherwise they would say "a couple."

 

And "or so" to me means a leeway within/before the week.

I do not understand the confusion with this. A couple is two--period. Always has been.

A few is 3 or 4. Generally 3.

Several is five.

Then a half dozen = 6.

Dozen = 12.

Anything in between is usually called what it is, for instance:--9 is 9.

You're forgetting that in February, Rockstar said. 'GTA V info in a few months.'

 

Then they said nothing until July 12. To Rockstar, a few is 'whenever we feel like it.'

I took that into consideration. If R* doesn't deliver within a month from today, then we cannot believe sh*t they say anymore, but they seem sure & direct with the statement. IDK, just my 2 cents.

I think we will have to wait until mid september for new pictures or maybe a new trailer. A bit weird since I am sure that the game has been done since months but ye hopefully we won't have to wait more than 3 weeks. Good that we have least some pictures, it looks great but not as hyped before as I was 6 months ago. It just feels weird to follow a game through pictures and rumours.
