R* or other big companies probably have next gen developer kits by now. Because if not, how would the next gen consoles had big launch titles, considering that good games take at least 2 years of making?

How old are you? You must be young, because that Cheetah is beyond sexy. No graphic problems at all. Just turn on the AA. Your first system must've been PS2 you unappreciative lil bugger

 

Compared to what I used to play as kid... this is beyond awesome graphics. Not all pixel-y (?)

No they look fine. And you are linking to PC shots of Mafia II, PC will always look worlds better than the console version of a game. If those three screenshots are taken from the console version, i'm happy as hell. Screens never do a game justice, and screens that haven't been doctored always look less impressive compared to when you see it in motion.

Yea that was my original plan for a Vita, but I just decided to get it this Christmas because I can't wait for a GTA game to be made, if it ever does I wanna play AC3: Liberation, Killzone Mercenary, Bioshock, LBP, and most of all, GTA "Vice city nights"

 

As far as Dev kits go, I'm pretty sure. I remember reading an article on IGN that talked about some Devs making games for the next gen consoles, so yeah they probaly have.

 

That date prediction seems about right... After all, they have other games to make, but then again GTA is their signature franchise. So I expect a GTAVI to be released around the same time you predicted.

I think it's most likely cancelled now.

 

Wasn't it supposed to be released for PS2? That didn't happen and it isn't coming out for PS3. Rockstar should tell us what's happening with it in one of those A&A's on the newswire.

Don't worry! People still play IV and that came out over 4 years ago. Damn, people still play III/VC/SA which came out 8-10 years ago! People don't stop playing these games! It goes to show just how good they are that people are playing them for so long after they are released.

 

VI is definitely next gen so they will need time to get used to the new hardware and they will probably create a new engine for that gen so I think we're looking at at least 2016 for a VI release.
